"Not the easiest place to find, would suggest a sign between the two other buildings, it’s opp the Police station. At the rear of the front buildings. However once you have found it, the accommodation is great. Easy walk to buses or taxi to wherever. Great place would recommend, just remember it’s down an alley!"

"Campton Kiyomizu is a traditional Japanese hotel conveniently located in the old town center of Kyoto. There was a near-by grocery store open 24 hours, which we frequented, and taxis were always available. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and all areas were very clean. It even had a washing machine. They gave us comfortable pajamas which we ended up purchasing. "Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. "The house was great and in perfect condition. Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful. Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it. "
