This must be a ’one off’ property in the centre of the delightful market town of Masham. There are not many houses that sleep five guests in three bedrooms that have so much space for everyone.
The property is a substantial stone-built cottage which still retains some lovely original features mixed with modern appliances. Entrance is gained through a small hallway with the living room on your left which is complete with an electric wood burner adding extra charm and additional heat. Comfortable leather sofas and a Freeview TV with a DVD player making this a great room to snuggle up in front of the fire on those colder evenings with a glass or two of wine. Across from the living room is the spacious kitchen/dining room which is a fabulous room for entertaining. The designer kitchen features all the usual mod-cons and is fully equipped for all your culinary needs, should you not want to eat at the many eateries close by. All three bedrooms have fresh bed linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep, meaning you are fully energised for the next day’s adventure. On the first floor is a stunning bathroom complete with a bath, should you wish to have a long soak after a day exploring or a shower cubicle for guests on the go. Should you want to have a day at the cottage there is small snug with two armchairs tucked away looking over the garden which is a great place to read a book and relax in comfort whilst watching the children play in the garden. Doors leading from the snug and kitchen lead you onto the enclosed private patio area with artificial lawn, great for having a glass of fizz al fresco or taking in the morning air with a coffee.
The Barbers Bolthole is situated in the centre of this historic market town, the local pubs, restaurants, shops, Black Sheep and Theakston Brewery are within easy reach along with a lovely gin distillery where tours can be booked. Masham one of the largest market squares in the country, where a Wednesday market has been joined by a popular Saturday market, a great place to purchase local produce. The cottage is also well placed for walking and exploring the stunning Yorkshire Dales with its scenic walks and bike trails, whilst the fashionable spa town of Harrogate, The cathedral city of Ripon, Fountains Abbey, RHS Garden Harlow Carr and Studley Royal are just a short drive away.
