Everything was clean and comfortable. Internet was definitely very slow and hard to get much work done. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Its in a thriving location. My room was large and clean, well attended. The price was crazy good, especially since there is a charming breakfast buffet included. I really loved it.

The hotel is old but super clean. The breakfast is included and amazing. It’s a buffet with a lot of choice. The location is very convenient Good value hotel

The property is in a nice place. I felt safe and comfortable. The biggest issue is the internet. It is horrible just horrible. There is no way anyone can work while in this facility. Brrakfast was also a disappointment and the same every single day for my stay.

Good location, but in need of makeover.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. The staff and quality of services are good, with a friendly atmosphere. However the rooms are tired and in need of a thorough makeover to modernise and bring them up to a more acceptable standard. Location is good near to Flamengo beach and bus and metro transport, and also near to Santos Dumont airport, Sugar Loaf Mountain within walking distance.

We continue to stay at ths hotel because it is located near to Santo Dumont airport, Flamingo Beach, and the Sugar Loaf Mountain (Pao de Açucar) as well as public transport facilities. However it is increasingly in need of a major refurb throughout, and although clean has a very tired appearance. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Very mediocre spot to stay
It was a mediocre hotel, people were nice, but very no frills. My first room didnt have a steady wifi connection, which I needed for work, but they moved me to a room on the top floor with a nice view and better reception. It was complete with a sketchy jacuzzi tub that looked rusted and from 1973. The immediate area was pretty urban with not much to do, but it was a few blocks from a nice park and two different subway stops that were easy to get around with. There was also a cute little bar for locals called Bartman right across the way, I went there a few times. I felt like the hotel was overpriced.

My wife and I really enjoy our stay in this hotel. The customer service was excellent, every time we had questions about a tour or how to get to an attraction they helped us with out hesitation and always recommended the best option. The Breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh every morning. not a single complain, I would totally recommend this to a friend.

Rude staff, not gay friendly.
The Staff is rude and will question and not allow any male guests in your room or lobby. Male/Female is fine. The area is far from anything decent. Not recommended.

Good service/old decor.
This hotel was adequate for my needs as I wanted a comfortable room with just the basics. It had all the necessities such as A/C, bathroom, fridge. The room I was given was very large and had a large bathroom, but looked like it hadn't been re-decorated since the 1970's - apart from the flat-screen TV. The bathroom also harked back to a bygone era with a sauna room & a large hot-tub, but neither of which seemed to be functioning. The staff were generally helpful & friendly. The Wi-Fi worked well in the lobby, but was much slower or often lost connection in the room.

The Rondonia Palace is in a pretty good area, 1 1/2 blocks from Flamengo beach (although the sea water there is bad) and a couple blocks from the subway station. We got in on an early flight and they let us check in early. The breakfast buffet is nice and we got room service once. The room is dated but comfortable. It was easy to get anywhere from the hotel. The only downside was communication. A couple of the staff spoke some english but the rest of the time I needed to use my 2 weeks' cramming of Portuguese or Spanish.

it is close the airport, beachs and good restaurants. I arrived early for the check-in and they accomodate my family without extra fees. I am thankfull for that. Will be back soon.

Ficamos extremamente decepcionados com o estado precário do quarto. Só usamos para tomar banho e dormir. Banheiro com cortina, com vários azulejos remendados. Quando tomei banho o banheiro ficou inundado e quando meu marido foi tomar a água ficou gelada. Na manhã seguinte acordei com uma BARATA enorme ao lado da cama e outras pequenas no chão. Passei tão mal com isso que nem tive condições de tomar café. Simplesmente fui embora e nunca mais volto, em um lugar desses.

Ótima localização.Quarto confortável com cama muito boa e piso frio (ideal para alérgicos a carpete). Limpeza adequada e ótimo atendimento. O ponto negativo fica para o banheiro, que é apertado e tem box de cortina (alaga com o banho). Além disso, o ar condicionado é antigo e barulhento, apesar de gerar o efeito de resfriamento desejado. No geral, eu voltaria, mas não seria minha primeira opção na região.

Boa localização e custo
Foi muito bom, dentro do esperado. O atendimento dos funcionários foi excelente, sendo bem atenciosos e solícitos. O hotel tem boas instalações, mas antigas. Os móveis do quarto já apresentavam um certo desgaste e o ar condicionado de janela bem antigo. De resto, quarto bem amplo com banheiro gigante, incluindo uma sauna no banheiro do quarto.

Gostei da experiência como um todo.
Funcionários cordiais, me deixaram entrar um pouco antes do horário de check in já que havia quarto disponível. Café da manhã simples, mas ok. Quarto amplo, limpo e confortável. Chuveiro e colchão bons. Roupas de cama e banho boas. Senti falta de uma luminária na mesa de trabalho e secador de cabelo. Infelizmente aconteceu uma situação desagradável comigo, mas partindo de outros hóspedes. As mesas do café da manhã são distribuidas para 4 lugares. Eu estava sozinha e um grupo de pessoas decidiu sentar em 5 juntos. Havia pelo menos 12 cadeiras disponíveis próximas à mesa que estavam. Eu estava no meio do meu café da manhã. Claramente levantei para me servir, já que o salão é relativamente pequeno e o grupo todo poderia visualizar isso, já que estavam em uma das mesas mais próximas do buffet. Para minha surpresa, quando voltei para o meu lugar, esse grupo havia pego exatamente a cadeira que eu estava para um deles se sentar. E ainda colocaram na outra ponta mais longe, quando havia outras cadeiras disponíveis mais perto da onde essa 5a pessoa se sentou. Se tiver acesso às cameras é possivel ver essa situação totalmente desnecessária. Me senti discriminada de alguma forma. O que eu fiz a eles? Apenas estava comendo. N fiz nada na hora porque realmente n valia a pena gastar energia com esse tipo de atitude. Apenas me realoquei para a cadeira do lado. N sei dizer se algum funcionario viu, mas era possível notar o realocamento das cadeiras.

No geral, tivemos uma boa estadia, sem nenhum problema ou ocorrência desagradável. Porém, pelo preço, esperávamos mais. Principalmente, porque ainda tivemos que pagar as diárias de estacionamento. Gostamos muito do atendimento e o café da manhã, mesmo tendo apenas os itens básicos, não deixou a desejar. O quarto é espaçoso, principalmente o banheiro, porém precisa de uma repaginada, pois os móveis são muito antigos.
