Decent room, would stay again.
Nice staff, spacious rooms. They ran out of bottled water which were supposed to come with the room, and the room was a bit cold so had to layer up.

The location is good, there was a free parking in front of the hotel during the weekend, the service is warm and welcoming.

Cozy little hotel in Riga.
I here for Roger Waters concert and the hotel is just 10 min to the concert. Staff is so nice, cozy bed, clean & tidy room, nice shower room, while a bit small. The old town Riga is 10 mins away by bus.

Disappointing room - very old fashioned and plain
The reception area and staff were fine including room maid.. The room was very disappointing: 1/ very old fashioned and plain 2/ the bathroom stank of sewage most of the time. 3/ no tea or coffee Conclusion - very nice and efficient staff let down by a very poor Hotel. perhaps we just got a bad room but these should not exist. NOT 4* at all.

Lovely hotel just outside of the old town.
Lovely hotel, with a very pleasing lobby. The rooms are just what you need and the buffet breakfast has a good variety to start the day. Hotel is in walking distance to the old town, but feels a little far when it’s super cold and there’s a snow blizzard.

Perfect hotel for us as we were visiting family and friends in that area but its only a 15 minute walk to the Old Town. A budget hotel but excellent for the price and no hesitation returning.

Very nice hotel and a great value!
I chose this hotel based on price, and I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Riga. The room was comfortable and everything was clean and well-maintained. The free breakfast was outstanding, and I loved the little grocery store next door for snacks and drinks. The young woman at check-in was friendly and helpful. Cool decor too, and an easy walk to the Old Town. I highly recommend this hotel for the value and comfort.

Tries hard but falls well short
Spent five nights in this hotel in mid-September 2017. Hotel has very helpful staff and is clean throughout but the room and breakfast were disappointing to say the least. One spare power socket in the room, several yards from the (small) table. Asked for an extension lead and got it. Moderate WiFi with many PCs connected all day, many of them the hotel's own equipment I suspect. Bathroom small and basic (other rooms have much nicer bathrooms) but fitted with a well-made, basic shower cubicle. This was mounted directly on the floor, so the run-off did not drain adequately. However, there was plenty of hot water and the water pressure was good. The heated floor and towel rail made the thin (but adequate) towels nice and warm. I'd asked three weeks in advance for a double bed and was given three singles. On requesting to be given what I'd asked for, I was offered a small room with a nice bathroom and two single beds. I'm not convinced the hotel is aware of what it has on its inventory. No double bed so I kept what I had. Decent TV. The bedroom window opened directly into the reception area, so it had no source of fresh air and with the window open, it got a bit noisy, though not ridiculously so. A smaller window in the bathroom opened to the outside world. Breakfast. Oh Lord, it was awful. The 'hot food' was cold on 4 days out of 5 and barely warm on the fifth. The rest was unimaginative and much of it completely tasteless. Even the coffee was poor. A disgrace.

Great hotel
The employee were awesome, the service very good . Breakfast was wonderful - the variety, freshly served and restaurant- more than I expected. Only uncomfortable moment with flat iron: there is no plug next to the mirrors.

Great find!
A nice hotel in a great area. Convenient to a lot of Riga. The staff were super helpful. The room was clean and nicely set up. Beds were comfortable. The only issue would be louder guests who listen to TV top volume in the middle of the night. Thankfully that was only one night of the 9 we stayed. I will definitely recommend and visit this hotel next time we are in Riga.

First impression was great, the room is very spacious and Wifi is available, but is a bit slow. Welcoming staff is great on first and last day. :) Sadly after 2day of stay I wasn't able to go sleep before 2am. There is some club/bar nearby that plays very loud bass music. And rooms have ventilation holes which are connected to other rooms and you can hear people talking. There is breakfast included, which is great, but food is not the best quality. Could be improved. Also, if you are used to sleep in darker rooms, you will need to bring eye cover, as curtains are a bit narrow and when you pull one way, the other side is open etc. Sadly housekeeping wasn't great at all. When you leave the sign, they do go in but they haven't made my bed even once. And on my final day when I was packing I found someone else's shirt behind bedside table. That just shows how much attention is given for cleaning. It's great for short stay and local. But definitely not worth 4 stars!

Central with welcoming staff.
A central hotel with friendly staff, large rooms and a good buffet breakfast. The rooms are very spacious, though as the hotel is quite old there is no sound proofing. Beds are very uncomfortable (with wafer thin mattress) and the couch (bed) is even more uncomfortable. Staff were helpful and the hotel is central. Can't complain too much as we got a bargain deal!

Excellent experience
This was an excellent experience from start to finish. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. They definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. They even offered to pack us breakfast to go when we had to leave the hotel at 3:30 a.m. to catch a flight! I recommend this hotel highly.

This hotel is a little out of old town but a comfortable 15 min walk part way through a lovely park. The hotel was comfortable, the staff very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. Wifi worked ok. There was a nice cheap restaraunt next door along with a convenience store (not associated with the hotel). Don't expect too much, just a comfortable and reasonably priced place to explore Riga.

The room heating was not working even second day they said that they solved the problem, it was not working but second day Hotel gave me electric heater. I wish they suggest and give the electric heater in first day as well or change my room. The room was very cold and smell humid.

Comfortable stay
We wanted somewhere close to the Old City. Whilst a twenty minute walk away there were easy links on the City Tour bus which stops opposite and later in the evening when returning with the 25 tram though due to the one way systems this is a long journey. The hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable - the bed especially so. The bathroom was fine though we did not have a wash basin plug and the staff did not appear to understand when we asked for one. The beds should have more than one pillow to start though more were made available. We had twin beds in our room but this was not an issue. The room safe did not work but we had no use for it anyway. The only negatives for us were that our room was to the front of the hotel with a noisy busy road. Also the separating walls of the room were thin and we had much noise when the couple next to us returned late at night drunk. The continental breakfasts were fine with a good selection of choice. For me the croissants were the best I have tasted. The set meal at the hotel restaurant Etages is a bargain,

Watch out for Credit card charges after check out!
The hotel is couple of old apartment building with a facelift! reception and hotel staff are friendly. Location is very central. This is definitely is not four stars! I realized my credit card was charged 20 euro 3 days later after check out after settling the final bill. This was with out any sort of notice nor correspondence. The credit card verification system is doggy with out a pin where you are asked to sing a paper for consent, It did light a bulb but I didnt want to be overconscientious about it. So make sure you dont give credit card details instead place a cash deposit if possible!! I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone I know!!

Super large room in a city hotel
Stayed in City Hotel Teater for one night. I was really surprised by the size of the room. It was huge, very clean and comfortable. And as it was in the winter it was well heated. Overall a fabulous stay in a lovely hotel. If we visit the city again we will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Nice little hotel conveniently located!
Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. I had 4 issues and they are minor. The first is that my room was very very cold. They had to bring me a space heater and an extra duvet. Second, inadequate electrical plugs - they had to bring me an extension cord to plug in their space heaater and my power converter. Third, while the night time bartender was very enthusiastic, the drink menu was boring. 4th and final - when they found out that I had to leave 2 hours before breakfast service started (breakfast was included in my room rate) they made no attempt to offer me anything - yogurt and some fruit would have been nice. But they did bring me the space heater and they did bring me the extension cord and the rate was very good. I would stay here again.

Lovely Hotel 15 minutes walk to old town.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.Lovely mannerly barman.We had dinner on the night we left for home which was an amazing culinary experience one of the nicest meal we ever had.Complements to an amazing chef.

Generally I'm satisfied with stay at the hotel. Location is pretty good, ~15 minutes walk from the Old Riga centre. The breakfast was perfect, a variety of different dishes for anyone. The room was big enough, a big double bad is simply 2 small beds stayed together. Heated floor in the bathroom is very nice, especially in cold season. Some cons: the heating in the room was turned off during the day, it was turned on in the evening only, so it was quite cold in the room. Also, we came to the hotel at ~7.30 am and early check-in cost 50% of daily rate, though the room was available at that time. It was disappointed because usually when I come early and there are available rooms, the hotel offers to check-in without any payments.

I stayed two nights. My single room was very large and included TV, WiFi and a good bathroom. Breakfast was very nice with a good range of hot and cold options. Hotel restaurant was not the cheapest, but the food was good and plentiful. Would stay again, very good value.
