"This “hotel” had so much potential, which honestly made the experience more disappointing. It’s described as a boutique hotel, but in reality it’s more of a refurbished motel with a separate building for the restaurant, lounge, and “front desk.” While the photos make it look charming and thoughtfully designed, in person it felt worn and had an overpowering scent that seemed intentionally pumped into the space. Check-in and check-out were also odd—I only saw someone once, and no one was around when I left. But the biggest issue was the cleanliness. The common areas were noticeably dirty, with unvacuumed rugs, rock salt scattered around, and a general buildup of debris. The back hallway leading to the rooms was even worse—you could feel grit under your feet, and there was potting soil spilled from a plant that clearly hadn’t been cleaned up. The room itself was cuter and somewhat cleaner, though very dark (which made me wonder if that was intentional). The decor had a fun Moroccan-meets-Cuban vibe, which I appreciated. Still, small details—like watered-down hand soap—added to the overall sense of neglect. Overall, I was really bummed. This was meant to be a special anniversary getaway, and while it wasn’t the worst place I’ve stayed, the website feels misleading and the lack of cleanliness overshadowed everything else. It also made me worry that there were other unhygenic things underfoot that just weren't visible."

"no breakfast... the room was of poor.. bathroom door was old and needed to be replaced, and tub needed a scrubbing. looked clean but we saw a hair on it it had n o coffee, it had a micro wave. was tiny. We slept and then got out early for our next day celebration. the reception was very polite. "

"We had a great week at Tranquility Glade. The home was exactly as it is pictured and was very clean and comfortable. It is in a very peaceful and serene mountain location just minutes from West Stockbridge. We enjoyed a cozy fire each night in the home's beautiful stone fireplace and took several brisk hikes on nearby trails. Our hosts could not have been more hospitable, sharing restaurant and shopping ideas well in advance of our stay. The location is ideal for exploring many highlights in The Berkshires. We enjoyed touring The Clark Art Museum in Williamstown and The Mount, Edith Wharton's home, in Lenox. We would love to return someday!"

"What a beautiful, comfortable home with a lovely yard and exceptional views (including the bonus of relaxed horses grazing). Our family had a great time cooking, puzzling, reading and touring the area. This house is on a quiet road with direct access to terrific hiking trails leading to a spectacular summit view of the mountains and valley surrounding Richmond Pond. Hosts generous included kitchen necessities and some added treats. All the beds were quite comfy and we enjoyed the cool fall air through open windows. A real gem - can't wait to return!"
