"Boy what a treat!!! Our stay in Tropea was amazing. Paobo and his staff were very accommodating and so friendly. The rooms were updated, spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was included to start our day, wheather it was to relax by the pool or have a beach day that was just a short walk. Paobo went out of his way to help us with every need, including a boat ride explaining the area, his Nona's fresh items from their farm to bring home and a ride to the airport to name a few. This small family run little boutique hotel was a easy walk to many markets, restaurants and beaches. We definitely will be back to visit Paobo and this relaxing beach town."

"We stayed in Tropea for one week along with cousins from the UK. The daily walks providing views of the town and the crystal blue waters were breathtaking. Our accommodation at Sui-Generis could not be faulted. Rather than being paying guests, the experience felt like staying with family and friends. The staff were polite, friendly, super efficient and always ready to offer guidance when approached for tips regarding restaurants, boat trips or train travel. This hotel is a 10 room facility , with large rooms, a superb , ultra clean pool and only a short walk to the town centre. Breakfasts are prepared by Emanuella and Anna ( try the omelettes). Coffees, teas and food arranged by Giovanni and Michele, along with their rotating shifts attending the needs of the poolside guests. Front of house is serviced by Mima, Manuela and Domenica, with nothing too difficult to handle. The spotless state of the rooms are due to the hard work of Anna and Ketty. The pool is meticulously cleaned by Gabrielle. Our group has no hesitation in recommending this facility, and it is a credit to the owners ; Francesco and Giuseppe. Thank you for making our visit so welcoming and enjoyable."

"Family run hotel - so helpful and friendly which really made our holiday special. Never been on first name terms with hotel staff before ! But special mention to Martina, Aurelio, Fabio and Katrina 😀 (& Kevin on the Marlove boat) Hotel very peaceful as out of town. We walked into Tropea old town - it takes about 40 mins safely in daylight but can organise the hotel minibus pick up easily in the morning for evening return. We liked our room (no 9) with sea views and spacious although could have done with some drawers so we could properly unpack. Hotel restaurant great food and busy. Pool bar menu limited in day but freshly made. Pool not massive but also not busy at all in October, so plenty of sunbeds. Worth going to local beach Riaci - long steep walk so pay for the hotel minibus to take you there and back !"
