"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"I shared a twin room with my sister staying for two nights. The room was clean and well serviced, however, there was very limited wardrobe space for long dresses and trousers. To make more space we had to move the ironing board from the wardrobe which wasn’t ideal. The staff were welcoming and friendly and anticipated our needs by offering to carry our cases down the few steps when the small lift at the entrance wasn’t working. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot food and pastries."
