A nice guest House offering good value for money. Rooms have fridges and Aircon but no TV. Bathrooms are shared but plentiful. Everything is very clean, rooms are large, good wi-fi. Location is in a pedestrianised area, in the old town so lots of local restaurants, attractions and shopping. Some street noise but not too bad. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Overall I would say this hotel is not luxurious but is excellent value and I would recommend it except if you have mobility issues.

De ligging is geweldig! Midden in de binnenstad van Rhodos. De prijs kwaliteitsverhouding zeer goed. je moet je wel instellen op het feit dat het geen luxe hotel is. Zeer klantvriendelijk!

The Medieval Rose Hotel, Rhodes

The Medieval Rose was good value for money. We didn't realize that we would be sharing a boathroom. It turned out to be okay in the long run. Thevowners were fabulous and very helpful!

History on the doorstep

We only had 2 nights at the Medieval Rose, we arrived late and our host directed us to a lovely little restaurant just round the corner who stayed open for us. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and considering it is in the middle of the old town very quiet. It is almost part of the fabric of the old quarter itself. We loved just stepping out in the morning and wandering the historic streets with all its shops and attractions, pedestrianised mostly and shaded. Would recommend the Medieval Rose to anyone wanting to just take in the ambiance of Rhodes Old Town. Only observation cobbled streets and access may be hard work for some. Would definitely return and thanks for being so helpful and welcoming. Linda and Eric.

Spacious, comfortable, affordable room in Old Town

This guesthouse was affordable and well exceeded our expectation! The rooms were clean and spacious with everything we needed - including a mini refrigerator, kettle with coffee mugs, and a private sink. The AC unit and fan are perfect for the summer heat. While the shared bathroom is not ideal, we never had to wait for other guests! The location is in Old Town but tucked away on a side street away from any noise. The check-in, location, and payment all way easy. We would definitely stay here again!

Budget inn with great location

This shouldn’t be called a hotel, it’s an inn, so you should expect something closer to a budget inn. The inn is in-charged by a lady owner who is friendly & helpful. The place is rather old, but the room is clean & comfortable. The washroom is small but clean, which the guests shared. However, the room that I stayed in, the fan is not working, so i have use the air-con at night. And there’s a small sink in the room, i don’t know why the mirror is hanged so low i have to bent down. The best part of the hotel is the location. It’s located within the central of a famous market/tourist place, and the ferry port is within walking distance away. Besides taxi, other public transport (bus) in Rhodes is not easily accessible like in Athens, so location is very important as taxi is very expensive. I would recommend this place to backpackers or solo traveller who don’t mind staying in a decent inn.

Helemaal leuk!

Ontzettend knus, vriendelijk en schoon in Maviedal Rose, heerlijk verblijf gehad van 7 nachten. Guesthouse is klein maar fijn, zelf had ik een fijne grote kamer. De gemeenschappelijke douches waren altijd super schoon en vrij. De vriendelijkheid en de gastvrijheid vond ik super, een tien! Het hotel ligt midden in de prachtige oude stad, kijk voor je vanuit de bus daarheen loopt even op de kaart en je ziet vrij makkelijk hoe te lopen. Ik vind het echt een aanrader, goede locatie, vriendelijk en schoon en leuke prijzen om te verblijven!

"Oplev "Rhodos Gamle By", nu eller aldrig!"

Medieval Rose Hotel er et lille familie ejet hotel. Indehaverne er, græske, kristne ortodokse. Hotellet har er et særligt regelsæt og/ eller kodeks for hvorledes det er korrekt at opføre sig i overensstemmelse med græske kristne traditioner. Der kan være trange kår i den centralt beliggende gårdhave på Medieval Rose Hotel, hvis det er fuldt booket, hvad nogle gange sker i fx. højsæsonen... Man skal være stille, eller snakke samme roligt og behersket efter kl. 11:00 PM., og helst vente med at tage bad til efter 05:00 AM., ..hvis man kan!? Har man kone og børn, er hotellet ikke så ringe endda. Hotellet har en god rengørenheds politik, men er svært holde 100% rent, fordi det ligger i "Rhodos Gamle By", hvor der er rigtigt mange turister. Men er man kulturhistorisk interesseret, eller græsk-romansk inspireret, så kan hotellet ikke ligger meget bedre placeret i forhold til, hvad der ellers foregår i Rhodos By. I Rhodos By koster det samme som i hele det europæiske middelhavsområde, men man kan her gøre fordelagtige køb af fx. smykker, lædder, pels, tasker, sølv og guld, krukker, tæpper, lokal græsk kunst, souvenirs af alle mulige slags, og naturligvis merchandise i lange baner, som grækerne også selv ynder at fremstille, noget på license, andet kulsort... Har man et VISA - kort eller kontanter i Euro el./ og Danske kroner, så kan man spare op til 20% på kursen, man skal være vågen, når man veksler på de små officielle vekselbureauer, fordi nogle butiksindehavere er "hustlere"!

Authentic and genuine experience of culture.

Comfy beds, authentic accommodation, friendly service, very cozy setting. It was a place so relaxed that you could hear yourself think. A rare gem and the highlight of my vacation.
