Premier Inn Köln City Mediapark

10/10 Excellent

"Initial con - there seems to be a lack of staff. Waited 20-30 mins to check in as there were no staff to check in, just the bartender. Then another day there was no bartender for about 20mins, just the receptionist. The room was spacious and quite clean, all amenities were helpful and appreciated. Bed was nice and comfy. We did come during a heatwave and thought the aircon could be cooler, but in normal weather I’m sure it’s good enough. I would return! Definitely nicer than the premier inns in the U.K."

Sheraton Duesseldorf Airport Hotel

"I stayed at the Sheraton Düsseldorf Airport Hotel twice during my trip to Germany—first for two nights and then again for another night before my flight home. I would definitely stay here again because the location is hard to beat. The biggest advantage is its convenience. The hotel is located directly across from Düsseldorf Airport, making it an excellent choice for early morning flights or late arrivals. The airport also offers a good selection of shops and restaurants, although prices are naturally higher than elsewhere in the city. My room was very comfortable, with an excellent bed and pillows that made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the in-room safe, comfortable armchair, makeup mirror, and the lovely bathroom amenities. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all good quality, and the rich body lotion was especially nice. It was also a pleasant surprise to find thoughtful extras such as a sewing kit and shaving kit. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, making the bed, replacing towels, and emptying the garbage. The Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay, and the front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet at Otto Restaurant was excellent, with a wide variety of choices. One tip for future guests: if you plan to have breakfast, include it when making your reservation through Expedia or another booking site. It’s a lot cheaper!"
