Maverick, the hotel front desk concierge, was very friendly and patient with us. He welcomed us on our first day and answered all of our questions. "This guest house is great. The staff are so helpful. Emmanuel on reception contacted us in advance to give us really useful travel advice. The ferry dropped us straight to the guest house so we didn’t have to carry our bags a long distance. We were in the lagoon room which had an amazing view. Really good value for money. "Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy a stay at the Casa Grande. There is no road to the place, i.e. they have to pick you up by boat. I sent an e-mail, left two WhatsApp messages and tried calling 4 times, all to no avail. Even 2 days later I have not heard from them. I ended up in Parismina without any recourse to get to the place, and so I had to find a different accommodation there. Very unfortunate. If you can book this place in the morning for the evening, the resort must respond, otherwise...

"Really authentic place. Beautiful grounds, we saw lots of birds here, and big iguanas. The swimming pool is beautiful and relaxing. Comfy rooms. Make sure to book your tours from here. We booked our turtle tour and canoe tour from here. Our turtle guide is miss Nori from the hotel. She is beyond amazing! She is local, so knowledgeable and does patrols along the beach to protect the turtles. Really admirable!"
