"De kamer was groot genoeg, schoon. Kleine badkamer, maar wel vrij nieuw en schoon. Ondanks dat we de kamer aan de kant hadden van de drukke weg, daar totaal geen overlast van gehad, met het raam dicht. Het ontbijt vond ik tegenvallen. "Ok, so this wasn’t the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, however I think it’s unrealistic to expect 5 star luxury when you’re paying so little. Value for money, absolutely 10 out of 10. The room was very large, clean and comfortable, the bed was super comfortable and the views from the balcony were stunning. The room was a little dated but it added to the charm and the bathroom was large, clean and modern with a very powerful shower. Breakfast was ample, if you’re expecting a full English, think again, you’re not in England! Plenty of fresh bread, cheese, cold meats, yogurt, cereal, fruits and vegetables with a sweet treat for 2 thrown in for good measure. Then you get to the owner, Ingolf. Never have we been made to feel more welcome. He’s a larger than life character, full of good humour and nothing is too much trouble. We’d come back from a day out somewhere and he’d have coffee and a home baked cheesecake or fruit waiting, at no extra charge I might add! I’ve seen a couple of recent reviews slating the place and I can honestly say, they are being unfair and unjust. Like I say, the place isn’t a 5 star resort but you aren’t paying 5 star prices and it’s unrealistic to expect that. Ingolf is restoring it room by room and some areas maybe look better than others currently. Will I return here? Absolutely, we can’t wait to come back, looking forward to seeing the changes you make. Thank you again for making us feel so welcome."

"Beautiful hotel and would definitely stay again! Room was spacious and clean. Nice restaurant and outdoor area to relax and have a cocktail. Small play area for the kids as well. Only issue was the room was so hot at night bc no AC but there are large windows that can be opened in the room. Beds were so comfy. Parking available and great buffet breakfast. I noticed on the last day that one section of the dining area had some kids’ books and activities, which I thought was a nice touch. Also love that it used to be an old clock factory and that its history is worked into the decor of the hotel,"

"Parking was a bit difficult. Had to park across the street in an underground and pay €14 per night. The breakfast was remarkable and the best we have ever had in any hotel traveling.
