The hotel is perfectly located at the top of the town, just a few minutes’ walk from the Black Forest hiking trail. The rooms offer beautiful views of the surrounding greenery. The owner, Ingolf, truly cares about sustainability and has decorated the hotel with this in mind, while still staying true to its original character.
Ingolf is an exceptionally kind and welcoming host. When he learned that my wife is a designer, he personally showed us details around the hotel that might be of interest, and we had a really enjoyable conversation. The atmosphere feels very different from a standard hotel – it’s warm, friendly, and personal.
Although we arrived much later than the official check-in time, Ingolf came quickly after we reached him through the booking website and welcomed us with a smile. Breakfast was excellent and exactly what we wanted.
We feel very lucky to have discovered this wonderful place and would definitely recommend it.
