Awesome get away!! The property is better than expected with the private lake, kayaks, canoes, boat, sauna, well equipped kitchen and grills on the rear porch!
Beautiful property. The hosts have thought of everything. Our family had the best time making memories on the private lake. There was plenty of room for my sister and her family, my brother, mother, my children, and grandchildren.
Ideal for large groups. Isolation with internet and a great view. What else do you need? Truck or SUV will help with the driveway. Lots of room for cooking. Plenty of firewood. Will return.
We had the pleasure of staying at the lodge with group of old friends. It is a private and expansive property with a great lake for swimming and exploring on one of the row boats on premises. Would definitely recommend!
Great connecting spot for our group- 13 guys all had tons of room and beds as well as plenty of bathrooms. Was a great spot for the different ORV trails we rode in the area. Good Restaurants are about an hours drive so I would consider cooking in or planning to spend at least 2 hrs round trip for some of the great choices or food in the area, from Iron city to Marquette. Overall great place with an awesome lodge and the sauna was icing on the cake for me. Would stay again.
Just bring some food and friends and enjoy a scenic drive to the lodge. Once you arrive everything you need is there ready for you to enjoy the private lake in the scenic northern Michigan forest with your friends. Note: If you go in the Winter, you may want 4-wheel drive. Some the hills can be hard to get up if its snowy.
The 5 mile drive on a bumpy 2-track is well worth it when you reach the lodge and cabin on 160 acres with it's own private lake. We very comfortably slept over 20 men in the ample sleeping quarters. But the real gem is the huge gathering space in the main lodge. Beautiful views of the lake out one side and a kitchen/bar area on the other. A great place to congregate.
If you love getting away from it all, this place is perfection. The lake, the boats, the beds, campfire, the set up. EVERYTHING! We loved it!!! Our family made some really wonderful memories. Thank you!
We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The access to the lake, the beautiful home, the remote location and the amenities available were perfect. Our kids caught many fish, used the canoes and kayaks daily and loved the lodge atmosphere. The owners were extremely accommodating. There was even an instance where a tree fell down after a storm, and the owners immediately removed it, which was above and beyond. We had an amazing time and would highly recommned!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The bedrooms are spacious and the additional cabin is a very nice bonus for us grandparents to get our own peace and quiet.
Everyone loved the large living and dining areas, the fully equipped kitchens and laundry room.
We never had to leave the property as there was plenty to do. Fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. We loved the supply of wood for the firepit and used it every night Stargazing is amazing too. We definitely have this property on our list to return to
Extended family gathers each year for Thanksgiving celebration with crafts, wreath making, puzzles, outdoor activities and good food. Your lodge had plenty of space to set up and leave up all the activities we had planned. A real Thanksgiving snow added to the excitement and the deer feeding outside the windows was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you for helping us along the way.
We had an amazing stay at this property! The place was excellent with plenty of space both inside and out. The entire property was quiet and very clean, making it a perfect retreat. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive to all our questions, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The amenities were fantastic, with plenty of row boats, canoes, and kayaks available, plus a floating platform that added to the fun. The lake itself was very clean and teeming with wildlife, including crawfish, bluegill, perch, and even trout. It was a delight to explore and fish.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!
Dear Mike & Nikki,
Our family can't thank you enough for the incredible hospitality you extended to us at your serene retreat. It was the perfect setting for our large family to reconnect and make lasting memories. The tranquility of the surroundings, the pet-friendly environment, and the absence of other renters allowed us to truly unwind and enjoy each other's company.
The amenities were outstanding. From the cozy cabin to the spacious lodge, every detail was thoughtfully considered. We loved gathering around the huge fire pit, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories under the starlit sky. The sauna provided a luxurious touch, and the multiple gas grills made meal preparation a breeze.
The highlight, of course, was the breathtaking 30-acre lake. It was a joy to fish, swim, and explore in the rowboats and canoes you generously provided. The knowledge that we had this pristine oasis all to ourselves made the experience even more special.
The surrounding 160-acre property, with its scenic trails and abundant wildlife, offered endless opportunities for adventure. We appreciated your commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the area, including the measures you've taken to protect the lake's ecosystem.
We will cherish the memories we made at your wonderful retreat for years to come. Thank you again for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
With deepest gratitude,
The Entire Marsh Family
Well kept, cleanCouldn’t ask for a better equipped property for kitchen and visitation, teens loved water and a deer came in back yard Would definitely stay there again
Amazing from the moment you walk in. YOU seriously only need clothes food and personal items. EVERYTHING was provided. There were 15 adults and we rode our sxs by day and had a fire and games at night ! This is the place to be !!! For a UP vacation getaway.
Beautiful property with all of the amenities. Back woods 20 minute drive of the highway to get there was beautiful. The lodge and cabin were beautiful and well equipped. Will stay there again👍
This was a great property for our family reunion. We had 14 adults and 5 kids. The lake was great. We had a fire in the outdoor fire pit every night. Lots of room for the kids to run and play. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of pans/utensils to use. We could all fit around the big table for meals.
While I was a bit surprised by the remote location of the property (getting there seemed like miles and miles of narrow, winding road) the property met our needs very well. Having the lake to ourselves was definitely a plus. All in all a great place!
