When relaxing by the poolside, looking out across olive groves and cork oaks towards the delightful cluster of pretty stone cottages that form the rural village of Regencós, one is immediately transported back in time, to an era when life’s concerns revolved around simpler things; working in the vineyard, harvesting olives, leading the goats to pasture and of course, with the Mediterranean so close by, bringing in the daily catch from the nearby fishing villages.
Lovingly restored by its proud owners, Irina permits guests to savour the ambiance and pleasures of a centuries old rural/coastal farmhouse. Discreetly attached at the rear to sister property, Aldea Repos, it is in an idyllic setting with manicured lawns, abundant bougainvillea and a superb swimming pool.

You are welcomed, via an atmospheric outdoor covered dining terrace which boasts a traditional battened clay tiled ceiling, into a timber beamed living/dining room. To the right a spacious country kitchen, again with beamed ceiling, continues the rustic atmosphere whilst the colourful ceramics that set off the en suite bath and shower rooms enjoyed by all the bedrooms complete the overall effect.

With such expansive views of the surrounding countryside and distant mountains spreading out ahead, it is easy to forget the fishing villages that played such an important part in the lives of those who lived here in bygone times. Nearby Sa Tuna (6.5km), Sa Riera (5.5km), Aigua Blava (6.5km) and Tamariu (9.5km) are charming coastal enclaves offering delightful sandy coves, beaches and a number of excellent fish restaurants. These still retain their old world charm thanks to the local fishermen who continue to catch squid, sea bass and lobster. For shopping, both Palafrugell (4km) and Begur (3km) are just a short drive away and have all amenities.
