"4.5 stars! The Blue Pelican was a safe, cozy, and clean stay for our small group which included 2 dogs.When we arrived the home had easy onsite parking and was well lit for an evening arrival. The dogs enjoyed a stroll around the clean and well maintained fenced yard. This made caring for them fuss free.The common living area was bright, clean, and modern. The couches were comfy and provided us with a great space to lounge.The bedrooms were nice, complete with extra blankets, side table lighting and ceiling fans. We also appreciated the closet space. The shared bathroom in the main area was a bit odd as it had doors going in and out from both the primary bedroom and the hallway.The bathrooms were clean with spacious sink counter space and drawers for our things. There were plenty of good bath and hand towels. We did wish there were hooks inside the shower to hang our loofahs. Due to our short stay and rainy weather, we didn't get to enjoy the outside studio or lounge space but it was nice to have had the option.The location of the home is close to food and retail but also only about a 20 minute drive to downtown Wilmington.Communication with the owner was helpful and easy. Very responsive.We would recommend The Blue Pelican to others and would stay here again in the future. "

"Room was fine and clean. Walls are paper thin - could hear the next room’s alarm clock and a guy yawn. Mattress was very hard and springs squeaked when I rolled over. I heard everyone leave and let their heavy doors shut starting at 4:30am. "

"amazing from the moment we checked in, which was seamless and very professional .This hotel is top notch. The rooms are space, and fully equipped with an oversized refrigerator, cabinet space and everything to make your short stay incredibly memorable. The complementary beer/wine from 5 to 6:30 during the nightly social time is a great addition, and the breakfast buffet is hands-down the best I’ve ever had! The location is perfect as it is near many “must sees” in the area. I will absolutely plan on staying here again."
