"The location is great and the marine life is breathtaking. Oblu are doing a great job protecting the marine life growing new coral gardens and educating guests on sustainable tourism. This was all why we chose the hotel but what really stood out for us was the staff and the Maldivian hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble and all requests were met with a smile. We had a great stay - thanks to everyone who made it so special. "

"One of the best resorts in the Maldives i have been to. Super luxurious, The Fire door restaurant is a must try (best octopus i have ever had and best lamb shank believe it or not, our waiters were amazing and super friendly (both from Philippines), manager of the restaurant is local and also a great person very knowledgeable. The breeze bar has great American and International food (lobster broth was top and the nachos). Our Reef villa was great and the last one in the row so little privacy we had, thanks to our host. Housekeeper John was the greatest person i have met in GPK, he was always there for us and place was spotless thanks to him. I would definitely recommend this resort and most likely would come back again. Thank you guys!"
"Great hotel staff. Deluxe beachfront unit was 100 yards from the beach and no view. If you want a partial, you should book the premium. Swimming was marginal as water was 2 feet to 5 feet deep so all the coral is bleached and a low tide could not swim. We thought we were gonna get better than this is more a site issue than a staff hotel issue"
"We spent eight days at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and it truly felt like the tiniest slice of paradise. The island is intimate, peaceful and beautifully kept, with the kind of turquoise water that makes it very easy to switch off completely.
We upgraded to all inclusive on arrival and, for the price, were initially surprised by a few exclusions. After feeding this back, Aden and, from a distance, Elias, helped us make the very best of our stay, supported throughout by our wonderful concierge Allath. We felt listened to, which made a real difference.
The catamaran experience was a huge highlight. The crew were exceptional, the marine life was out of this world, and the lunch prepared in advance by Chef David was outstanding. We also booked a Balinese full body massage with Lin and Katrin, who were so skilled and sweet that we immediately booked another.
Food was consistently great across all three outlets, with Madi Hiyaa, the award winning Japanese restaurant, my personal favourite. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and the team, especially Uma, were so warm and attentive. At Saffron, Fipit and Nafiz greeted us daily with the biggest smiles, and Chef Pro Santa made our mornings with his delicious farm fresh eggs and sense of humour.
Not without small teething issues, but overall an incredibly beautiful and relaxing stay."

"Outstanding hospitality paired with delicious food — there’s something for everyone. The entire resort is stunning, and the staff is extremely courteous and respectful."
"This was our first time in the Maldives and it exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely amazing. We paid extra to have a pool at our bungalow but the resort does have its own pool where we found ourselves most times so I would say it’s definitely not needed to have your own pool but it is nice to have one. We had baby black tip reef sharks, puffer fish, eagle rays, and so much more right under our bungalow and we could snorkel everyday off our bungalow and see such amazing things. The staff was incredible very friendly. They had golf carts available all hours to pick us up from our bungalow and bring us to food, dinner, anywhere we needed. We don’t have kids but I loved to see how much they had to offer for kids as well. We will definitely be coming back"

"We love our stay at Varu. All the staff are extremely friendly. They started remembering our drink preferences after a day or two and are very attentive. Our room is always clean with great view. The water villa are on higher walkways so they do not recommend for younger kids but they were able to set up an extra sleep space for our son. We also appreciate the comprehensiveness of their all inclusive plan, including all food, drinks, alcohol, spa, excursion and water activties. We did not have to spend a lot extra to have a great experience."
