We really loved our stay on Whay's Creek. The house was well-prepared, and there were so many extra special touches, like bait for the crab pots, fishing lights in the water, and kayaks and paddle boards ready to use. We hope to be back again!
Hosts thought of everything coffee bar was a special touch everything you need for fishing crabbing even bait for crabs we will come back in the future
We truly enjoyed our stay. We had a very quiet time and enjoyed checking out the area antique shops and restaurants. Would recommend this to family and friends.
My husband and I loved our stay with our pets! The place was clean and cozy. The backyard was fenced which was perfect for our dogs. We used the kayaks, fished, and used the grill which made our stay fun and memorable. Thank you so much for having us and we will definitely book again!
Loved this property. We took our boat and it was a very quiet creek that was easy to navigate once you figured out the entrance. Trapped blue crab, fished, and had a ton of fun!
I’d honestly say this property description wasn’t accurate because they have thought of everything. EVERYTHING is provided to include crab bait, pots, and poles. We kayaked and fished everyday. Will do some research on the night fishing and return
My family and I had one of the best times at Crazy Whays Retreat! We enjoyed the kayaking, fishing, and catching crabs. The location was perfect as it was quiet, peaceful, and private which was just the place my family and I were looking for. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. We really liked the outdoor shower area as we were able to give our dog a bath after playing in the water. The views were awesome from the outdoor balcony and sitting on the private dock! The price was very reasonable for what you get. The host/property owner, Megan was very kind and communicated well with me. She also did not charge us for a pet fee which was really nice as most places we looked at charged $25 or more for pet fees. All in all, this was the best family retreat we ever had. Would definitely book this property again in the near future!!!
The house and property were perfect. The description of the house and property were accurate. The house was equipped with everything needed. Only issue was the weather since it rained most of our stay; but nothing anyone could do about that. Would definitely rent this house again.
This property far exceeded our expectations! Megan’s communication and hospitality were exceptional often responding within minutes of sending questions about the property and surrounding area. She even went out of her way to research resources in the area ahead of our stay. The house was very clean, plenty of dishes and other conveniences to make our stay hassle free and EVERYTHING in the home is labeled with clear instructions and procedures. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We used the paddle board and kayaks, the crab traps and also visited a nearby nature preserve. Our 4-year-old is already asking when we can come back. They also have plenty of resources for canine friends which was a huge bonus for us with our little Boston Terrier. Would recommend again and again!!
We spent a wonderful week here with our dog, and it was such a fantastic experience. The neighborhood is peaceful and friendly, yet still conveniently close to stores. The neighbors were lovely, and there were so many things to do in the area. One of the highlights was the kayaks provided at the house — we went paddling every day which was so much fun. During our stay, there was a heatwave and quite a lot of jellyfish, but the listing clearly mentioned this, so we came prepared with protective swimwear and it was no problem at all. Plus, there are beaches nearby in more open parts of the bay where we found fewer jellyfish. The house itself was perfect: very clean, with plenty of towels, shampoo, and everything else we could need. Megan even prepared a crab bait for us, so we enjoyed a couple of crab feasts right at the house There also was a secure fenced area for our dog. Another thing we really appreciated was the light for night fishing: it attracted lots of small fish, and it turned into a beautiful little show to watch under the stars. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and left feeling relaxed and recharged. Highly recommend this place!
We had a fantastic stay at this property. It is one of the most well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared rentals we’ve ever experienced. All you really need to bring are your clothes. The main house had a comfortable, welcoming vibe and was stocked with everything we needed. From fresh linens and plenty of towels to a full kitchen with cookware ranging from sauce pots to a steamer, nothing was overlooked. The Keurig coffee bar with flavored syrups was a great touch. Everything was modern, clean, and in great working order. The fish house was a highlight. It had a stained-glass fish window, stocked crab bait in the freezer, at least seven rods with various tackle, a fridge, icemaker, lawn games, and even high-quality coolers available for use. It felt like a personal fishing lodge. The dock was well maintained and extended deep into the creek. It included mounted cutting boards, a bait knife, rod holders, chairs, a table, and two fish lights for night fishing. Four crab pots were provided along with three kayaks, a paddleboard, and plenty of paddles and life vests, including one for the dog.We would absolutely return. This place was peaceful, well thought out, and had everything we needed for a great getaway
