Top Hotels Near Reed Gold Mine State Historic Site in Midland

"For starters you’re right next to a train station so the rooms are loud. Also know that this hotel does not have free parking, you park in a public parking and it’s not cheap. You can valet but the price will fluctuate if there’s an event going on. There’s a bar inside the hotel with basically nothing good to eat. They were serving chips and salsa and hummus. That’s it. The bathroom door had a frosted glass so if you turn on the light to use the bathroom or shower and someone else is in the other room, the light from the bathroom will light up the bedroom. The layout is also weird. Very little lights inside the room. The only good thing about this hotel is the convenience of being close to restaurants and venues because you’re right across the street from the Spectrum center and about 15 minute walk from B of A Stadium."

"This was a quick trip ! The scenery was beautiful. I loved that the table in the lobby had charging ports everywhere and USB ports. Very modern. We checked in a little early which was wonderful for traveling guests. The restaurant had delicious cuisine. The pool not being opened until Memorial Day sucked. Not sure what the beginning of summer has to do with the pool for a Hotel. If it's listed as an amenity, it should be available OR it should be clear it's not open until a specific date. Our room was very far away . For guests with non-visible disabilities or injuries a question should be asked about closeness or if it matters. Walking that distance for the room was tough especially at the end of a trip. I really loved the hotel overall."

"A friend and I stayed here for one night for a Bruno Mars concert. Everyone from the valet guys, front desk, and Bartender were friendly and helpful. We had an executive suite with king bed and it was a huge corner room. Everything very clean and comfortable and I would 100% stay there again. Location was great and within walking distance of the Bank of America stadium. FYI Valet is $55/day."

"nice design, clean and friendly staff. Lacking: info on the fact that the entrance is facing the SIDE of the building (not street side) & the front desk is on the 5th floor. during our stay, there was only one of two elevators working, so there was quite a way to get up to the lobby and down from the lobby. The only other amenity issue I would like to share is that the bathroom door is a sliding door, without much privacy or even sealing in the steam from the shower and the sound of a flush or whats goin in the bowl TO BE flushed. Otherwise, everything else was fine"

"I’m only scoring it this low because of the smell of smoke weed/cigarette smoke was so bad in the hallways. Would I stay here again probably yes, but be prepared. "
