Double booked at arrival

I booked this stay many months ago through VRBO. I had to ask the host a question twice and both times I got no responses. I had to call VRBO to have them contact the host to answer the question on whether I could adjust the dates of the visit. This should have been the first clue that this was not going to go well We showed up at 6pm local time after travelling on an overnight flight from the US and driving 4 hours with two little kids. I had message the host during this commute to say I hadn’t gotten the check in instructions yet. No response so we get there and we knock, we call the hosts number no responses. We call VRBO who also can’t get a hold of her. My husband finally gets her to reply on what’s app and she double booked the house and other people were already in it. So now we spend an hour and a half on the phone with VRBO and it’s now 8pm with two little kids and we’re offered one night in a motel in Ravenna for the two nights I had booked. We ended up having to stay 30 minutes outside of Ravenna since the motel option was not acceptable.
