We enjoyed this quiet mountain retreat tucked in the Black Hills. Sipping coffee on the porch to watch the sunrise, seeing deer pass by the deck in the evening, the whisper of the pine trees; it was perfect. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to cook at the property and not have to go out. We were able to relax and enjoy our time!
Loved the property. The space was the perfect size for what we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after touring the hills. Kitchen is very well stocked and found all that was needed to make dinner at night. We used the air conditioners in the evening when we returned and they worked great. A good time was had by all.
Planned a long weekend with the adult kids and their spouses to relax, ATV and enjoy the Black Hills. The property is in a great location and the view is exceptional. The property was well kept and everything you could ask for. No hassles during check in/out. Hot tub was great. Owner even went out of their way to ship back a forgotten item. If you are pulling a trailer you should disconnect and unload before going all the way down the drive. I highly recommend the property.
Beautiful view! Had no worries of needing any dish, utensils, towels, etc… we had 2 family rooms one upstairs other downstairs. 3 bathrooms. Enough space for privacy and all to gather. we had a wonderful stay and definitely recommend!!
We came up to ride the trails for just a few days. Not new, but a nice place to wake up in and come back to. Everything we needed was there and well organized.

Beautiful mountain top home!
This was an incredibly beautiful, secluded getaway. Located very close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Reptile Gardens, and many other places to see. Beautiful view from the deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The hot tub was a welcome addition after a day of sightseeing. Great place to stay to get away from it all. The only improvement would be if there was wifi available.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. We enjoyed grilled dinners on the deck and time spent as a family. We were traveling with a 3 and 4 year old and there was plenty of space for them to play in the house. Only drawbacks for small children were limited outside space and a 15 minute drive to the main road.
Excellent help by Julie Mechaley with any and all questions. Checking in and out was simple.
Location beautiful view.
Deck is in need of care and replacement of boards
Had a wonderful stay for four older gentlemen on a Golf trip to the hills -- 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms
We traveled with a group of eight of us four adults and four children. The house was wonderful! Very clean and very detailed with instructions on what to do and what not to do. The location is beautiful. The first time of the mountain was a little bit scary not knowing how high were going but once we traveled it then we were familiar with the layout. Great place to stay!
Cabin was perfect for our family! The view was incredible! So peaceful and serene! The pictures absolutely do not do it justice! The windows, with the blinds up, show a beautiful view! Kitchen was very well stocked! Bedroom decor was a little outdated but everything was clean and cozy! The deck does need some repairs as there were nail heads popping up but still nice and quiet to sit on and enjoy morning coffee or evening drink! Hot tub was great! The only other downside was the laundry is not free, it is coin operated which who has coins nowadays. Not a big deal just not very convenient when you have a big family and dirty towels. Would definitely recommend!
I will start with saying the house has a nice layout, the kitchen is new and very functional, everything was clean, and the view is amazing. The major issue I had was holes that rotted in the deck that were big enough that my children's legs could fall into. This and the lack of soap/shampoo, and free laundry are what keep me from rating this higher. I would expect those amenities from a 4 star place of this cost. If these few small things were changed though it would be a wonderful place to stay.
The view and property was amazing. Loved sitting on the deck in the morning with my cup of coffee and watching the sun come up and light up the hillside. Also enjoyed soaking in the hot tub at the end of a long sight seeing day! Just a fabulous place stay!
The property we stayed in was very nice, with an open floor plan and plenty of room for our family of five adults and two grandchildren under a year in age. The property is centrally located to the majority of attractions in and around the Rapid City area and we did a number of day trips. The home is near the top of Edelweiss Mountain so 4-wheel drive is of benefit. Julie was very prompt and helpful in the booking process and with whatever questions we had about things to do. We enjoyed our evenings watching the sunset, hanging around the hot-tub and enjoying family time together on the main level of the home. The hot tub was very beneficial after a day of touring and/or hiking.
This was the perfect family getaway cabin for our time in the Black Hills. Quiet with comfortable amenities. The view of the hills is spectacular and the fresh mountain air in the pines is the icing on the cake! We will be back!
Property was as advertised. Views off the deck are awesome. House was very comfortable and kitchen had all the tools needed for grilling. Black Hills are beautiful.
Very nice home with beautiful views. Weather ranged from warm and sunny to blizzard in span of four days, typical for Black Hills. The hot tub is seasonal, owner let us know when booking. It was a surprise that we weren’t able to use fireplace. The home had one of the best appointed kitchens git a VBRO that I have ever seen. It was a joy to cook for the family. Would love to return for a fall visit.
A wonderful place to stay with lots of room for everyone. Beautiful view with ample outdoor deck space for all. Very peaceful location far from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, but centrally located in the black hills making attractions easy to reach. The kids asked “when will be back,” we all loved the area and look forward to going back!
