This was absolutely gorgeous place to stay right in the middle of all the sites around Keystone and Hill city. Quiet area and the house was perfect for our family, they even had a little coloring area for our little! Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect Gem in the Heart of the Black Hills

This home away from home was the perfect spot to catch up on some R&R after a long day exploring the Black Hills and Custer State Park. It is was very centrally located to be able to see everything we wanted to in the short time we were there. We would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay!

Quiet Christmas getaway

This was the prefect "home base." Centrally located near attrations by Hill City and Keystone, it was also very clean and comfortable. The home was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook and serve meals. It felt private and relaxed.

Veterans day getaway

We were traveling to Rapid City to watch our daughter perform in a music competition. We had a great time at Hakuna Matata and look forward to staying again. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we had plenty of room to hang out. It was also close to the sights and it was great to come back to after hiking to the top of Black Elk Peak.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our 9 day stay. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and in a good location to drive to all the places we wanted to visit (Bad Lands, Devils Tower, Custer State Park, needles highway, Mount Rushmore, Windcave National Park). Our groups of 6 older adults highly recommend it.

Hakuna Matata was the perfect fit for my family of 5! Great location for exploring the southern hills and enough room for everyone to relax in the evenings. It was so nice to sit in the hot tub after sending the kids to bed - vacation with kids with some perks for Mom and Dad too!

This VRBO was great! Stayed here with my family (including young 3 kiddos). Place was clean, in the perfect Black Hills location (quick drive to all the outdoor activities), and had all the kitchen supplies we needed to cook meals in. Property manager was very helpful/responsive to our questions. Check in and check out was smooth.
