Under new ownership. The place has been remodeled and is wonderful. the only slight negative is that the parking lot can be difficult to navigate if you are in a full size truck or SUV and the lot is mostly full. It's pretty tight. Room and grounds were clean and nicely remodeled. Will definitely stay again.

This is a superb motel in Taos @ a great price. Our suite was huge. The rooms clean and comfortable. It’s close to everything you need — Walgreens, groceries, restaurants & it’s about 3 miles to downtown Taos. The best recommendation comes from its superb staff. Everyone we talked to was super friendly and accommodating. We wish them the best.

Great location! We stayed in a newly renovated suite and loved it. Beautiful, cozy furnishings and plenty of space. There were even pots, pans, and a hot plate to cook. Check-in was smooth and staff was super helpful all-around. Highly recommend!

The Motor Lodge is going to be awesome and it was a shame we couldn't see it in it's finished state whilst it's still going through final renovations! We had a King room on the ground floor which was spacious, clean and recently done up. The room also came equipped with a fridge, coffee machine, mugs and microwave, but could have done with luggage racks for putting cases on. The pool / grill area was a nice feature and is located across where the RV park is - perhaps more loungers and seats for when it gets busy! Plenty of on-site parking which was great. A short 9min drive into the centre of Taos which is a quaint little town and a 5min drive to food outlets and supermarkets. All in all a pleasant one night stay. Good luck with the renovations!

Wow how to review this property. The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. In addition, the rate was reasonable given the location in Taos. However, the room was bizarre, with the kitchenette located IN the bathroom. The shower and soaking tub were located in yet another space. The toilet was not working when we arrived, and after 2 trips to the office to request assistance and a visit from maintenance, we had a working toilet 2 hours later. The microwave opened only by prying it open with a butter knife. The shower was extremely slippery and did not have anti-slip mats. Also, the shower head continues to spray water nearly 3 minutes after the water is turned off. The property is undergoing renovation which is great. The management should give thought to remodeling this room to get the kitchen out of the bathroom, it seems like a health concern. Also, the room is very dark and additional lamps are needed for function and safety. Finally, the fireplace in the room did not work.
