"This small and charming hotel sits high upon the hill, overlooking a nearby village and the Oliphant Tea Factory. It's a quiet location, with stunning rooms - which is a welcome change if you're staying mostly in guest houses or big resorts. The staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is perfect, and the sounds and smells of nature were great - if you like the sound of birds chirping, this is a place for you. "My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Weir House. Our only regret was that we could only stay one. From the patio of the house, we could hear the rapids of the river and surrounded by verdant forest. Staying here truly was a highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Mr. Maha, the manager was so very helpful, including assisting us to book a hotel in Kandi when it turned out that the place we originally booked was a huge disappointment. He even arranged 2 tuk tuks to take us to the...

"A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. There is no air conditioning but some ceiling fans that do the job perfectly (we were never too hot at night) - the pool with the river view in room 10 was spectacular. We enjoyed the food and the service was really nice and kind. Ashley is a character and brings some personality to the table. It’s very isolated but it’s possible to get a Tuktuk...

The Golden Crown Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"An Excellent Stay at The Golden Crown Hotel, Kandy! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience at The Golden Crown Hotel in Kandy. The welcome staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional. They even gave us a tour of the hotel before escorting us to our room, which was a lovely touch and made us feel truly welcomed. Our suite was excellent, spacious, and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, with a great variety of fresh, delicious food to suit everyone's taste. The infinity pool on Level 2 was amazing, offering a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The game room was another highlight—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing and having fun as a group. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, from the warm hospitality and excellent facilities to the quality of the food. A big thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend The Golden Crown Hotel to anyone visiting Kandy!"

Araliya Green City - Your Gateway to Everything in Nuwara Eliya

10/10 Excellent

"A lovely five-star hotel in a convenient location, with a food court, mini-mart, and small shopping area right next door. It is also just a short distance from town. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, with a stupa situated across the road, adding to the peaceful surroundings. The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, with very comfortable beds. The staff are outstanding — attentive, courteous, and friendly, with an excellent eye for detail. Their warm hospitality truly enhances the overall experience. Both the dinner buffet and breakfast were excellent, offering a wonderful dining experience. Overall, a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, delicious food, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!"

Grand Serendib Hotel

8/10 Good

"A lovely boutique hotel with clean, comfortable, and well-designed rooms offering great views. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of food. However, dinner could be improved. If you opt for the half-board package, you are offered a limited, budget-style menu, while the à la carte menu comes at an additional cost. The dinner buffet is only available when the hotel is fully occupied. The real highlight of this hotel is its incredible staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, always smiling, and extremely helpful, making our stay all the more enjoyable. Interestingly, this level of friendliness and hospitality seems to be very common across all the hotels we have stayed at so far. Overall, a lovely hotel with wonderful staff, although the dinner arrangements could be more appealing for guests on a half-board package."

Serenus Boutique Villa

8/10 Good

"Decent property or a short stay. The dining experience was good. Close to Nuwara Eliya town centre but not walkable. Considering the fact the area is a hill station with cold/colder weather conditions, the room(s) need a better heating setup that can make the visitors feel comfortable inside the room."
