"Everything was great!!"

"Stayed over Thanksgiving break 2025. Best family trip ever! Cabin has everything you need. Hosts were gracious to have heat on when we arrived and firewood stocked. We took full advantage of the fireplace round the clock while we were there in 30 degree weather. Grabbed a great steak for the grill from Meat and Fish in Cashiers. Ate at Happ’s and The Local.Rode horses at Arrowmont. Hiked High Falls. Fished the dock- fished the public access from the cabin up to Tuckasegee. Cut down a Christmas tree at the farm across the road. Couldn’t have asked for better. Coffee drinkers: no filters necessary! Mesh filter in coffee maker. I recommend the Pisgah Roasters ground coffee you can find in town. Yes the steps are a lot but they didn’t stop us at all. We drove in a 4x4 diesel and the driveway pull in was tight- tip: go to the second driveway entrance and make a 2-3 point turn in. "

"This home is amazing and can easily accommodate a large family gathering. Comfort, comfort, comfort! We could not get the pilot light lit in the inside fireplace but were able to have a fire in the outdoor fire ring on the deck. At one point we had 9 cars in the driveway with no trouble at all but we did have to jockey them around a bit. Everyone enjoyed the home, the views, the location, etc. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. The kitchen is stocked with any gadget or small appliance you could ever need except a cheese grater. Better than any luxury hotel sans the room service, of course. Enjoy your stay!"

"The lake was beautiful and that’s mainly why we chose this location. The road getting to the location is a little confusing because it says to take Gunpoint Road and there is a sign at the entrance to the narrow down hill road that says private drive. But once we turned down there we found the house pretty easy. It is off a gravel up hill kind of steep road I was going to let my daughter driver her dodge charger and I’m glad we ended up just taking both trucks. Other than that house was nice and clean. A few cob webs above toilets had my girls freaked out but nothing bad with be pretty secluded in the woods. "

"Very organized owner. Good location. Beautiful views. Biggest issue was safety. House seems to have major structural issues on the two story balcony. It’s being held up by crooked boards on top of cinder blocks. It seems way overdue for repair. "

"Terrific location! Property is well manicured, house spotless, linens top of the line and comfortable mattresses. Kitchen is well supplied with cooking equipment. We loved the fire pit and the dock. The kids swam, fished and sun bathed. One night s’mores were on the menu. The temperature and humidity were a cool blessing.We went to Silver Run Falls and the kids had a blast even tho they got chilled. Overall, a great vacation, enjoyed by all."
