Nestledown - Peaceful Mountain Retreat!

"My wife and I spent a wonderful time in mid-August at Nestledown. A few days before we arrived the host called us and provided detailed directions to the house from Highlands. The location is so convenient between Highlands and Cashiers and is an easy drive to other towns in the area. Nestledown is on a small private road surrounded with dense woods filled with rhododendron. We found everything one could need and in immaculate condition. We certainly hope to return."

"This cabin was just perfect, and exactly as described! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the cabin and if I get back to the area would definitely stay there again. Had one minor issue with a smoke alarm and the owner took care of it right away!"

"Loved the location which is one block from main shopping area. Staff was super helpful and attentive. We stayed in a king balcony room and pls note that they are very small rooms. I usually compare room sizes but their website did not list SQ footage. . Our first room had a very bad cat smell and we asked immediately to move to another room. Graciously, the mgr gave us another room and it smelled better but it still had a faint cat smell. Later in our 3 night stay we overheard another guest complaining about the same. Apparently cats were once allowed but no longer. We also had a difficult time finding a charger in the town and were told most travel 30 min to charge. The cooler weather trumped all these issues and we actually extended our stay by a day"

"1,000 Hallelujahs! Our family enjoyed every specially prepared facet of this property. From the quiet cul de sac to the roomy driveway to the shady, screen enclosed porch, we were thrilled. Now for the interior, the rooms were generous in size, comfortable, we cooked several meals there and had what we needed. Tables were perfect. Even used an extra table as puzzle central. Great family time!"
