"When we reached there, we were told that they were already fully booked and no cottages were available for us. We did not find any other place nearby and had to leave immediately. It is historically significant because it was the first fort captured by Shivaji Maharaj in 1643, at the age of 16, forming the nucleus of the Maratha empire.
