"Very nice breakfast"

"Excellent accommodation, very welcoming and friendly. We were just staying for the evening and didnt have breakfast as we wanted to get away early as we chose this place as it is close to the Centre Parcs Le Bois aux Daims we were staying at from the Monday (and wanted to get the most from pool etc there so needed a place to stay for night before and this was ideal). We were a family of 5 and had the 3 kids in one room with us in the main one but there was plenty of space and more facilities than we expected in the room for the price - as well as things like fridge and coffee maker there were also microwave, stove, kettle (we do love our tea!), dishwasher, lots of utensils etc, as well as 2 tables and enough chairs for us all and a large wardrobe and various drawers. Lovely quiet location just a short drive from Chinon with its large Fortress / Chateau and river (and very reasonably priced and tasty Pizza takeaway which we went to as being a Sunday evening most places were not open). Would gladly stay again if we were back in the area"

"A lovely, clean and cosy house in a very peaceful area. A great base for exploring the countryside, chateaux and towns. Chinon is a few minutes away by car and has a great market on a Thursday morning, as well as two supermarkets and an amazing fortress. Communication with the owners was excellent."

"Stayed at this hotel before. In a convenient location with parking in front. Easy walk to all the shops bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are a bit dated and tired, but great for a quick stop over."

"Lovely Gite, full of character in a beautiful area. Check in was easy with great communication beforehand. Super pool and undercover terrace. Plenty of space. "The image used on the listing for this property is not the part of the house that you will be renting. It is very tired, with broken garden furniture. The garden is not fully enclosed. It is attached to the owner's property, which may or may not be occupied. (We were told it would not be, yet someone appeared at the end of the week). There is no freezer here, no oven, and the crockery is mainly badly chipped. There are two sets of steep stairs with no handrails, unsuitable for small children or elderly visitors. Worst of all there are no towels, no teatowels, no dishcloths, and bizarrely although the beds have bottom sheets there are no duvet covers at all. We contacted the management company Belvilla for assistance which was useless, the mobile no for the caretaker who did not respond, and the owner whose email was in the folder, (bounced back) and Vrbo about this, none of whom responded. Chinon is a lovely area, the garden delightful and the area very peaceful but stay somewhere else. We felt that the owner was charging way too much for the accommodation and will be asking for a partial refund "
