Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. "I love this place, it's a gem! The staff are all incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. I was suppose to stay 3 nights but got caught-up in the London Heathrow meltdown and my connection to Glasgow was cancelled. I took a train to Motherwell the next day. I called to explain and they were very accommodating of me missing my first night. Today I stated the West Highland Way trek. The Motherwell train station is a 1 hour train ride from Milgavnie (a starting point for the West Highland Way). Motherwell turned out to be a very affordable place to stay. And the food and drink menu at their pub is awesome, they have EVERYTHING! I can't say enough good things about Raven’s Cliff. Ok, one more thing, there's a huge park Strathclyde near the hotel, I spent probably 1 1/2 walking around this beautiful park. Downtown Motherwell has a charm to it as well, not a "fancy" feel but a charming feel."

"It was an amazing find, travelling South on a long journey from Stornoway to Keswick. I began to feel tired in the afternoon, so I stopped the car went onto Expedia and found this place. The price was very reasonable for August, and the hotel was lovely, a little off the beaten track, but there was a local shop 2 mins away. Staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I’m going to bookmark this one."

"The gal at the front desk was amazing, I’d only had three hours of sleep because I went to the Prodigy gig the night before and then I decided this was a decent place to crash for the night. I got in early and while I was willing to sleep in my car until time to check in, she went above and beyond to get me sorted. There was also a really lovely lady who was working on my floor doing housekeeping who I chatted with briefly. She told me to go in and get my head down, and was just so friendly. Everyone who worked in the restaurant was amazing too. Food was also pretty fantastic. I one thousand percent recommend that if you need a place to get some sleep, stay here."
