"Difficult to find even with location instructions which to be fair had been sent well in advance, taxi dropping us off was confused & we only found it due to a helpful neighbour! The main issue was the heating as it was freezing when we arrived & we had to call the hosts to get it switched on & bring heaters. There was then no central heating the next morning so we had to rely on the electric heaters. We arrived late - it would have been lovely to have had some milk in the fridge for a cuppa! Soap dispenser was empty so had to find somewhere open to buy some. While we appreciate some people might like having a big motor bike in the sitting room, it was not to our taste- maybe the owners could mention this upfront in their publicity as a feature? On the positive the owners let us have a late check out & we’re very friendly! "

"Small but perfectly formed. The best part was the central location, post office, supermarket and pharmacy a stone's throw away. Great pubs and restaurants and great bus and ferry services straight to the beaches. Will book again for certain."

"What a beautiful house, everything as described and more. Set in serene, quiet woods, with lovely walks in the 8 acre grounds. The dog loved it. Cleanliness was of the highest quality. The house had a warm and cozy feel to it, we wanted to stay longer. The hot tub felt luxurious and every need was met. Julie and Paul were the best hosts and could not be more helpful. We will definitely be back soon. We have found a wonderful little gem in a beautiful part of Devon. This House come highly recommended and deserves the rave reviews. 5 Stars . "

"We enjoyed our week staying at Pipers, which is in a delightful and peaceful setting and furnished with taste and quality. It is well placed to visit the South Hams district: Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth plus all the surrounding coastline. You definitely need a car to make the most of the location and be prepared to reverse very frequently in the narrow lanes. The owners kept good contact but were not intrusive. "
