Wonderful Seaside Cottage
We booked this for a get away for my parents with my sister and her spouse. The location was fantastic being incredibly private and relaxing with great vista views and awesome amenities. It had everything we needed, and more. You can tell this place is loved and I can absolutely see myself returning. The hosts were awesome and responsive. I highly recommend this place!!

Beyond expectations ,a truly unique stay
Staying in Deep Bay, British Columbia, was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, every detail was meticulously thought out, and the abundance of amenities made it feel like a home away from home. The thoughtful touch of sparkling wine upon arrival added a special touch to our stay. One of the highlights was sitting outside on the patio and being greeted by a curious bear, a truly unique encounter that will stay with us forever. Additionally, the sight of wild eagles soaring overhead, nesting in the area, added to the natural beauty of the surroundings.and so many seals in the area . Overall, our time in Deep Bay was nothing short of magical, and we can't wait to return.

Perfect home to make memories in
We just had the most incredible weekend at this beautiful beach house. It offers everything and more that you could possibly need to feel at home and the view is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this vacation rental and I cannot wait to go back.

BC coastal haven
This was a return visit to this BC haven - a beautiful home with amazing vistas of an almost private beach. Hot tub with a view of the ocean is the perfect way to relax on a grey fall evening. Beds are super comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The wood-burning fireplace draws so well, and sets the perfect backdrop for a cosy night in. Highly recommend.

Amazing Stay
From the moment we walked in and saw the view, the layout and the complimentary bottle of bubbly we knew we had made the right choice. From an 18 month old to grandparents this place worked for all. Twice daily trips to the water, the occasional hot tub and all day relaxing made for an amazing trip. The only thing that would have enhanced the experience is if "Bowser Moon" was doing a reunion show somewhere close by :-)

Peaceful Oceanfront Getaway!
We loved, loved, loved our stay at the Seascape Cottage... it just went by way too fast! The hosts and property manager were super accomodating and we all had a great time. Every bedroom had an ocean view so we could wake to gorgeous sunrises over Chrome Island every morning. All the little touches, including fantastic art, locally made soaps & beautiful pottery were very much appreciated - we had everything we needed. Beds and furniture were all super comfy and the hot tub amazing. Pure bliss!

Our family really enjoyed our stay. We loved the views, quiet and privacy. We had a fun time exploring the tidal pools. The welcome bottle of bubbly was a nice touch. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely place right on the beach!
We were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly for the birthday celebrations! Very nice touch! Loved all the glass ware and beautiful pottery dishes… made us feel at home. The view was beautiful and the beds comfy Soo nice to have all the touches Would definitely come again

What an incredible spot. The views and the privacy were even better than we had anticipated from the website photos. Joanne and Kathy were friendly and helpful, as was Ashley. The hot tub (amazing jet power) and fireplace (draws beautifully) were wonderful bonuses. My daughter made excellent use of the telescope. The frolicking seals & lighthouse island were charming. Supplying robes for the hot tub and real wine glasses were unexpected & welcome details. Can’t wait to come back.

Epic views from an epic house
Our family of eight had the most amazing time staying in this place. With four large bedrooms, everyone had their own space. The common area is designed so well for connection reading, games, puzzles or just sitting on the window seat, watching harbour seals and listening to the waves crash metres away from you. We enjoyed cooking meals and hot tubbing, and going for walks on the beach. The beds were extremely comfortable. The place was beautiful. I can’t recommend this place with more exuberance.

Shhhh... keep it a secret.
We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this seaside cottage. It was chilly and it was king tide season, so we weren't out on the beach as much as we would've liked. BUT we didn't miss out on a thing. There are so many windows and comfortable places to sit and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. We're hesitant to share this place too widely or we'll never find an opening to return. But our hosts were so kind and wonderful that they deserve a great review. As for the details - beds are comfy, lots of pillow choices. Comfortable furniture for lounging around. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of towels and the hot tub was divine. It's a small town setting and so peaceful. We didn't explore the bigger towns nearby, but we did head into Bowser for a few things and found everything we needed. Looking forward to coming to stay again.

Enjoy the always changing view
The owner/host was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions; the manager lives next door to the property and was very friendly and willing to help if needed. The house is very well equipped, easy to stay in for an extended stay (we were there 7 weeks). Although the weather was cooler and wetter than some springs we enjoyed the ever changing view outside our windows. There is lots to do in the area and we really enjoyed exploring the beach and the nearby trails.

Fabulous family vacation
The pictures of this property do not do it justice. Our family arrived at night and woke up to a spectacular ocean view. Each day brought a different skyline that could be watched for hours. This home was incredibly equipped for our family dinners and had extra towels and linens if needed. I could go on and on about our fantastic holiday. Lovely Cabin in a Beautiful Location
Cathy’s place was a wonderful place to spend Christmas with our family. Despite the weather being unusually cold and snowy, we enjoyed the relaxation of hanging out inside and taking in the spectacular view. The cabin was cozy yet plenty big for 6 adults. It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend her place to anyone looking for a nice quiet spot. It offered privacy and seclusion but was an easy drive to all amenities.

ideal oceanside stay
This has been the perfect getaway for us. The property is exactly as described. Right beside the ocean, big beautiful windows to stare out of, great walks on the beach, wonderful fireplace. Very happy with everything, we wish we didn't have to leave.

1 month workation / left early 😒
We were the next guests to arrive, after this last review. If you like spiders and I mean alot of them, then this is your place. We had booked a month long workation for the month of October. The first thing we noticed were cobwebs everywhere. Under cushions were spider poop, dead spiders and it was utterly disgusting. In almost all doorways were old very old cobwebs, you know they turn black with the dust on them. We took many pictures We thought let it be, but by the fourth day we had seen too many spiders, we got hold of the owner Cathy and asked when was last time the house was thoroughly cleaned? She insisted the home was thoroughly cleaned, and sanitized were her words. If it was thoroughly cleaned/sanitized then there wouldn't have been used food still in fridge, super outdated and disgusting. same with pantry, there was hardly any room to put our own food in the Walkin pantry. She was aware spiders were a problem, but she said they don't bother her. Although she had a cleaner to specifically deal with the webs, we still found many upon our return. The spiders kept coming as soon as it rained. We also heard little critters in the walls or ceiling. We could no longer stay after a couple weeks as we were finding spiders in our food bowls in the cupboards and counters. Sadly we missed out on our remaining 2 weeks of plans. Hopefully this gets rectified for future guests. She did give us back some of our money except she charged us double a night as we were leaving. This didn't make sense to us. Very disappointing.

I would like to assure all of our future guests to Seascape Cottage that our vacation home is clean and sanitized before all new guests arrive. We are designated as a Premier Host.- this review is inconsistent with all of our previous reviews. We work very hard to accommodate our guests' requests and we did so in this case. Although we were under no obligation to remit payment after the guests left early and with less that 12 hours notice, we did so at a fair rate consistent with their length of stay. Seascape Cottage is a home in the country - we want our guests to enjoy the peace, the quiet, the nature and the beautiful scenery . The charm of our cottage is that it is your home away from home i a remarkably beautiful setting.

Perfect family getaway
The photos don't do this place justice.. it's a lovely house right on the ocean, with all the appliances and amenities needed for a relaxing week away. We loved the open concept living room dining room kitchen area which was plenty big for us all to hang out in. The beach in front has lots of tidal pools to explore. Some of the pots and pans are older/warped and we found a couple cobwebs but the sheets and surfaces were all clean. The host and neighbours were all really friendly. Would recommend!

Wonderful mini-vacation.
