The highlight of our trip was definitely the waterpark: vibrant, fun, and perfect for all ages. We spent hours there and loved every minute! Special shoutout to the team at the pool bars—The Mix and The Reef. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality were absolutely top-notch. Drinks were perfectly crafted, and the vibe was just right. 10/10 for their service! Honestly, we loved everything about this place. It’s the kind of resort that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing yet exciting getaway!"

"We came to Excellence El Carmen for our honeymoon! We had one initial hiccup with some racists, less than classy wannabe African American gangster guys and wives. It was like stare down and intimidation for hours just because my Caucasian husband was happy and dancing. I don’t know who comes to a classy resort and acts like this, it was ridiculous to the point I had to call Excellence security fearing these racists would jump him and I in their night club. I am also of color by the way, just appalling behavior. Fortunately for us, we had people backing us up saying we did absolutely nothing, issue was solved and the racists left the property very soon after. Then the vibe at the resort was peaceful and classy for the rest of our 7 night and 8 day stay. Our room was stunning, we booked a Private Pool and deck. We were in Building 11 near the Excellence Club members exclusive pool. The rooms are generous in size, the private pool we used everyday. It was beautiful, clean and peaceful. The room service was perfect, immaculate and the friendliest staff we’ve ever experienced. Food was good, for a resort it was one of our best experiences ever. I mean some expectations should be lowered, if you expect every dish to turn out great then perhaps all inclusive is not the way to go. We travel both to Four Seasons, Fairmont hotels and all inclusive resorts. Excellence El Carmen was amazing for food for an all inclusive, especially The Grill and Chez Isabelle for dinner. "
