Overall the aquamarine hotel property was ok but the rooms were not clean, the bedding was not nice. The exterior hallway outside the room always had dirty laundry in bags and bins

Property was nice however I had booked the aquamarine location for adults only and was not aware that the majority of the a la carte restaurants were in the other areas of the resort which kind of defeats the purpose of booking adults only if your dining with the busy family resorts as well. I didn’t anticipate the property to be so Large as I was unaware it was one property with connected resorts. Beach was okay. Clean and nice however the beach loungers were set up in larger groups of chairs and not much privacy at all next to your neighbours. We had shared the huts on the beach with strangers beside us which was unusual since I’ve never experiences that at other adult only resorts. Usually it’s 2 chairs per umbrella for the most part. Food was great. Buffet was impressive at lunch. Staff were friendly. Jose at the pool always had everyone entertained. Foam party was great as well. Room was nice and clean. Property was very large so the beach walk was a trek. About a 10 min walk to the beach from the aquamarine rooms which was quite tiring on hot days but there are carts that take you around. Personally I’m not a fan of large resorts like this so if that’s not something you like it might not be for you. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Could have done without the long journey to the beach.

The food from the a la carte was not up to par at all. The buffet was okay, but the main issue the service, we are Asian and it felt like we were ignored really. We are returning guest and it definitely not the same.

Nos quedamos en el BP aquamarine y tuvimos una experiencia realmente horrible. Comenzando por la sanidad de los restaurantes , cucarachas y ratones (literalmente en la comida) del bufet. Las habitaciones súper deterioradas, el minibar no enfriaba, el entrenamiento fatal. Muchos de los empleados no estan capacitados o informados para brindar un buen servicio (hay excepciones) los tragos malos muy pocos lugares tenían calidad ( en el sports bar Excelentes) de echo el Sports Bar fue el único lugar que valía la pena por sus servicios y calidad. Honestamente no nos gustó y no volveremos. Cero recomendacion!!

I came here on my honeymoon with my husband and overall we would rate the property 8/10! This is a beautiful resort with a beautiful property which is lush with palm trees and flowers. Amazing staff who worked hard to keep you happy, keep the grounds clean, take care of your room and drive you to where you need to go. We had an issue with our first room as it had no view, seemed a bit unclean in the bathroom and the facet was broken. But we go my switched by the next day. The staff was very accommodating. My husband spoke Spanish which helped greatly, but some staff do speak English. The food was overall amazing for the a la carte and buffet. The snack bar could use some improvement and the Mexican was our least fave. The entertainment was lively and kept you going daytime by the pool or nighttime at the lobby. The special circus event in the evening was incredible. Shopping wasn’t pleasant as the sales staff kind of hound you. Beware of mosquitoes! I was bitten quite badly, so bring itch cream, antihistamines if you are allergic and bug spray! The clinic was helpful since I wasn’t prepared. We would still highly recommend this resort and would go back again!

Food was good compared to other resorts I’ve stayed at. Drinks were good too! I did not get sick from eating here. Rooms were clean. Only complaint was the bed was very firm and hard. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our stay- the entertainment staff did a great job getting people involved. The restaurants were good but often booked at the prime times. We did however show up early and they were able to see us. The pools were very nice and beach was beautiful with very little vendors trying to sell stuff. We always ended up finding a lunch chair. My one suggestion is to improve the app- the map didn’t always show the restaurants or descriptions of the entertainment. There is also a no reserving lounge chair policy with signs but people always did it- for hours at a time there were chairs with towels. Hard to tell if they were reserving them or just old towels. Suggest I forcing the policy and having a few bins around to return towels when done since people are lazy. Would go again!

Our room key was not working through out my stay 5 nights, had make multiple complaints and the manager did not take any action. Had to visit front desk Every time had to enter the room (even at 12 AM). We asked if they could change our room, they DID NOT and they made many excuses not to do that.

This resort is not a 5-star resort. Don’t get me wrong, the resort is beautiful but there are definitely some things that need improvement. From the beginning, when we arrived it took over an hour to get a room. Once we got the room, we were handed room keys and essentially had to find our room on our own (the resort is massive, so it wasn’t as easy as it may sound). Once we entered our room, it was super clean and well kept. I would highly recommend to not drink any tap water, and be courteous with how much bottle water you drink, as it’s not filtered the same as water in the United States. You can easily get sick from drinking a full water bottle in one sitting. (To stay hydrated, I’d recommend buying Gatorade from one of the lobby shops). As this was our first all-inclusive, we were a little unsure of how everything worked. My fiance and I can understand some Spanish, so that helped communicated with staff tremendously. Most staff do speak some English, but it can be hard at times. There was no explanation to what we have access to on the resort, and what is all-inclusive and what isn’t. For eating, the resort has a buffet. The buffet food is super good, but is often hit or miss. The restaurant also has “a-la-carte restaurants” you can make a reservation for on the app. With it saying “a-la-carte”, we assumed it was extra and not included. Later we discovered it is included. I’d highly recommend eating at the Italian, Mexican, and steakhouse restaurants, they are very good

The resort was beautiful roo s were clean and trollys were ablessing with little wait times. Liked that we could go to other attached resorts run by Bahia. Few items that were lacking, towels and face cloths had to be requested on multiple occasions. The cleaning staff would take the soiled linen and not replace them and a phone call to the desk was requured. Door keys reprogramming required. Overall it was a great trip. Such a big resort you have to expect minor issues. Would definately recommend.

We absolutely loved this resort. The staff were extremely helpful and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. The food at the buffet was excellent and we enjoyed our two à la cart meals as well. There is a little something for everyone as there is beach access, the main pool with music and entertainment, and a quieter sitting pool area. Things to note: it is 30 minutes from the airport and there is no shuttle so you have to take a taxi, bring American cash for tipping staff, and make your dinner reservations before you arrive as many will already be filled up once you get there.

We have been coming back to Bahia Principe Hotels, specifically Aquamarine for 5 years now. Rooms and property are clean and spacious. Pool and beach excellent swimming, walking. Staff are very friendly, always immediately respond to help. Guests we meet also very friendly, polite from all over the world. The Aquario restaurant food quality buffet is excellent. Always a large assortment of fresh breads, amazing Pizza (worthy of the name) and tasty desserts… Fresh varieties of fruit prepared with every meal. Fresh vegetables, prepared in all manners… Raw, steamed, sautéed, and baked. Everything from lettuce to pumpkin, tomatoes to plantain. Large assortment of condiments and types of cheese. Fun drink options, wine decent. Espresso, hot chocolate and cappuccino machine on tap at the bar. Seafood is expertly prepared, grilled, stewed battered, and baked. As are fresh meats, chicken, beef, pork, cured Iberia charcuterie, even duck and quail eggs! The airport taxi service (and shared vans) very good, only 25 minutes door to door. We look forward to returning again!
