The place, the bungalows and the staff are very nice but the generator (frim the hotel next door) is making a terribe noice 24h/24h. Not possible to relax on yiur terrace and impossible to sleep at night

We had no idea what to expect as we booked last minute without doing any research nor looking at pictures. Also the name, One & Only Desaru, is somewhat non-descript, it doesn't evoke much... This is a 5-star resort, an oasis secluded from the world, large luxurious villas, private beaches and all -- and also, I guess, from paparazzis! That kind of a place. Top, top, top. Will return for sure.

The best thing of the hotel is the staff. They were friendly, accomodating and helpful. Other than that, the hotel is poorly maintained. The bathroom is a disaster. Pool is dirty as well.
