Oakley's Ocean View Kauai Home on the 6th Hole of the Makai Golf Course!

This relaxing, custom home was built in 1987 and is well equipped with a unique design and amazing ocean view. The house sits on the 6th hole of the Makai Golf Course and yet it is in the heart of the rain forest!

We have seen whales in the late winter through spring on the lanai! The Kilauea Light House (a short drive away) has whale watching as well as incredible bird watching stations!

It is difficult to describe the tranquil beauty and incredible flowers that grace this home! The mountain view from the house is the site of the 'rainiest place on earth' and the rainbows are incredible and always changing!

The upstairs king bedroom with sitting area, lanai and soaking tub has views of the mountain, the golf course and the ocean. The next level down features a king bed with a double shower and a lanai. New sink faucets and shower heads and faucets. New curtains in the upper master king bedroom and main level bedroom.

The living room, dinning room, kitchen and lanai to the outside (where the ocean view is amazing) and bedroom are on the main level.

The lower level features two bedrooms with new curtains in each bedroom. One room has a full bed and a bathroom/shower and the other bedroom has two twin beds with a bathroom/tub/shower. New sink and shower faucets and shower heads in both bathrooms.

This level also has an entertainment area with a flat screen TV, pool table and game table. There are also 2 double Euro Lounge sleeper/sofas, and 2 twin futons.

The outside hot tub sits among the trees on the lower deck. It is older but works great and is very relaxing after a long day at the beach or hiking! The view of the ocean from the hot tub is amazing!

**This home has an outside 4 burner grill, landscape improvements, new outside lounge cushions, new light switches, including new LED lights throughout the house, new shower and sink faucets and new curtains in each room! There are two "Pack and Plays", (one with a "changing table"), highchair, 2 kid booster seats, 2 kid chairs and 2 safety gates as well.** There is also a blow up mattress in the basement renter closet.

In the Princeville shopping center there is a grocery store, retail shopping, restaurants the best ice cream in the world at Lappert's and a place for Yoga! For bike and sports equipment rentals etc. contact Kauai Vacation Outfitters at 808-631-9032. They deliver!

Private perfection
Our family of six with four teenage boys could not have asked for more. Beautiful views with the privacy of a home rather than a condo/resort. Easy access to Hanalei for surfing. We saw people doing yoga on the golf course from our room and joined up for the next class. Rooms were spacious. The pool table was a game changer for the boys. It is an older house so we told the kids to treat it like a grandma - with gentle love:) So many personal comforts/details (golf calendar, seating for sunsets, comfortable master bed). Thank you for a wonderful home base during an amazing holiday!

Beautiful scenery and spacious house
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Oakley's House. I was stunned by the beautiful views from the house. The beds were really comfortable as well. We also really enjoyed the game room. We had no trouble finding all the essentials we needed in the kitchen and appreciated all the additional items they had to use for cooking. It was a really perfect stay and would love to go back some day!!

Location and view!
What a wonderful vacation house! Beautiful view and the location was perfect. Our large group loved the outdoor decks, large kitchen and living area and the feel of a true Hawaiian home. Check in and communication could not have been easier . We would definitely stay here again.

Great home for our family trip to Kauai
Originally we planned to rent two condo units in Princeville to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our family (my wife & I, our two kids and their families for total of 10). Then we discovered the Oakley house. It was perfect! Home was spacious with several large areas where kids could play and adults visit. Kitchen was well supplied. Beach toys were perfect. Loved the views. Watching sunset from hot tub was wonderful. I highly recommend.

My coworkers and I are convinced that you cannot find a better place to stay than at the Oakley House! We had the best time soaking in the views in the morning and exploring the island all day. This stay had everything we needed and more - beach toys, snorkeling equipment, Kauai hiking information books and more! Truly a dream vacation!

Graduation Trip/Anniversary Trip
My little brother had graduated high school and wanted to go on a trip with his friends. We were able to use this property as a Graduation Trip for my brother and his friends and an Anniversary Trip for our parents. The location is perfect, amazing views of the sunsets, and just a walk away from Queens Bath and a short drive to either Hideaway Beach and Hanalei Bay. We used the pool table at least every day, as well as the jacuzzi. You will not regret renting this property!

Fantastic Large Home for All Generations
We loved our stay! I would stay there again and would recommend to anyone. Especially large families and groups with various ages. It was great to come home from a day at the beach or snorkeling and everyone could have their own space to relax. -Well equipped kitchen (including spices) and personal hygiene/health closet -Response time with Dean and Susan was always quick -Wicker furniture throughout the hours felt authentic for the island -Great selection of games and island books -Location- walking distance from Queen's Bath and minutes of driving distance for multiple shops and beaches -Beach supplies were perfect for every age Beach towels Sand toys Buggy boards Snorkeling -Washer and dryer major perk -Three floors with multiple separate areas provided the entire family (three generations) their own space

House was spacious and accommodated our family of 9 comfortably. Views from the living room , lanai and master bedroom were spectacular…overlooking the golf course and the ocean below. However there are a Couple things to note. House is pretty dated and firniture in living room is very old and one of the tables and chairs had done obvious damage. The loungers on the lanai were so uncomfortable, and felt like something was jabbing your back when you lay on it. Fridge water and ice was not working, which was not very convenient, and it was apparently in that state for a while (per the handyman) My request to the owners is to invest a little money , as you have a beautiful property and it will really enhance the overall experience for your renters.
