The entire condo was the best. The view of the ocean spectacular kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels and extra blankets beautiful area. I would stay here again.

The staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Our accommodations were spacious with large bright rooms and a beautiful ocean facing lanai. Parking was chsllenging but otherwise we could not have been happier. I hope when we make it back to Kauai we can visit again.

The view from this unit was stunning. Waking up to sunrise view from bed was absolutely magical. An easy hike down to a beautiful, secluded beach is just steps away. Spacious and well laid out, well stocked kitchen, and nice to have laundry. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Easy drive to Hanalei for variety of shops and restaurants. Would absolutely recommend!

Awesome Stay Great Hotel

Check-in was at a sister hotel, staff were friendly and accommodating. We had room #313 top floor we had partial view of the ocean & golf course was awesome. Had 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, fully furnished kitchen & living room; washer & dryer; balcony with ocean view.

Amazing view and large unit

The views are the best ever. Very well located. Our 2 bedroom unit was very large. The patio was great. The stairs to the third floor were horrible. The lighting to find the units in the dark were horrible (wouldn’t take much to put lights at the room number signage in the parking lot!) and the parking is tight. But having said this, I’d stay there again but make sure I’m not in the third floor.

3.5 stars feels about right. Nice ocean views, big balcony, and lots of space. Furnishings are of a good but not great quality, a bit dated. We were given an accessible unit for some reason, though we did not request one. The front desk at Shearwater has very limited hours, so if you are checking in after 4 PM, you have to check in at the sister property.

We were moved to another resort - still nice!

We were moved from the Shearwater to the Ka Eo Kai as a result of overbooking. The Ka Eo Kai is not ocean side. Although we were quite disappointed with the move as we were looking forward to the Oceanside views the Ka Eo Kai was really nice and the staff was very helpful. We ended up with a distant but gorgeous ocean view over the golf course out front and mountain view in back. The unit was a little dated but still very comfortable for a family of five. No AC but the ocean breezes made up fo that. So although we started out a little frustrated overall I would recommend the Ka Eo Kai

We booked the ocean front Shearwater resort. I emailed and had a phone conversation to confirm we would not be moved to a non ocean front resort as I had seen others in reviews had been. When we arrived to check in at sister resort Ko’a Kea, then go to our oceanfront we were advised we had been moved. The facility and room were nice but not ocean front. We were refunded 1 night stay but then charged again so now having to deal with getting double charges reversed. Front desk and management were understandable of our frustration and kind, but when you are booking ocean front it should be ocean front.
