I was very disappointed . The pictures were very deceptive . My mountain / city views was a tree pressed up against my window , if I leaned to the side I could see the hills in the distance. There is no mention that there is no air conditioning , and when I asked at the desk they said there’s a fan in the closet in the room ! With the windows open , I could heard everything going on in the parking lot bellow my window , including the smoke from the smokers and people leaving at 4:30 in the morning . The price was not worth it . Will not recommend or return.
There was no air conditioning and it took an hour for staff to find a fan for the room. It was a heatwave so that Was a huge disappointment considering the cost of the room. There was nothing the staff could do for us. The view was awesome.
Nice hotel, a little dated and the beds are really soft (not in a good way). Also, the walls are paper thin. Otherwise it was a nice stay. The restaurant is fantastic.
The room was comfortable, clean and the view over the harbour is fantastic ! Meals in the restaurant were excellent - well above expectations for a hotel restaurant.
The hotel was great as usual, my room was over the parking lot beside the lights for the lobby, quite noisy with people outside smoking and the guest above me was walking like an elephant at 4:00 in the morning.
I felt the room was very cozy, the view was spectacular but the walls are a bit thin, we can hear a clear conversation with people next door we fixed that with a little white noise. Do not drink the water, even to brush your teeth, there was a notice on the desk to notify the guests, would be nice if the front desk notified us during check in because we didn't read it until we finished brushing our teeth. Also to provide more water in the rooms would be a great idea. I had breakfast the next morning and I enjoyed the friendly service and the delicious food. all in all, I would stay there again.

Great place to stay. Great service lovely harbour view. Good food
The restaurant / pub had good food and a decent selection of drinks. Staff was friendly, if slow.
I was unlucky enough to have a room directly overlooking the main door to the hotel. Apparently this pub is also the main drinking spot for the town, and the smoking area is in the entry way of the hotel. The result is to have a group of drunks, every single night, being rowdy in the main entrance on each of their smoke breaks. I have never been to a pub that allows such chaos in their front door, never mind a hotel with sleeping guests directly above.
In addition, the interior is very dated and stagnant. The rooms were always too hot, with no real.way to cool them. (Our party had 7 rooms, all with the same complaint) I was able to cool the room by leaving the window open. However this allowed my room to smell like cigarette smoke die to the smoke pit below. Hallways, doorways, and elevator are ridiculously narrow, making luggage movement an exercise in frustration. Entertainment is 1980's basic cable, and not all channels on the guide are available. Movies, PPV, Netflix and the like have not yet made it to The Crest.
If you stay here, insist on an ocean view room to keep away from the travesty of the drunken antics at the smoke pit. Pack light to avoid having to drag large items through narrow spaces. And bring cash, the restaurant isn't cheap and 6 nights in the worst room was almost $1200.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Cleanliness
Disappointed
The room was ok.
The bedspread was disgusting dirty.
The heat wasn’t working. After complaint we did another room no problem.Food was good but pricey. The service we thought was slow , but the view is great at restaurant,The water from taps and toilet was brown, apparently a city wide issue.
Property well kept. Staff friendly. Good location. Surprised that ice machine was an old bin style one that you have to reach in with a plastic ice scoop. Not very hygienic. Also rooms still
Use comforters rather than washable duvets
Or triple sheeting. I wonder how often the comforter is cleaned.
