We enjoyed our 3-night stay at this beautifully decorated cottage, which features a spectacular lake view and wonderful natural light from the many windows. While the beds were a bit firm, we slept very well. The kitchen is lovely, and the outdoor patio is a great space to relax.The property has immense potential but could use a little extra care to truly shine. A deep cleaning—particularly removing pollen and cobwebs from the windows and screens—along with a fresh coat of paint would greatly elevate the experience. The outdoor patio has great potential, but the wooden chairs are rotten and were covered in tree debris during our stay. We also ran into a few mechanical issues: we could not get the gas firepit to work, and after opening the oven drawer, we found it impossible to close properlyAdditionally, organizing the kitchen and clearing out some of the host's personal items (like open toiletries and crowded pantry products) would make the space feel much more welcoming for guests.We would certainly consider returning in the future, though we feel the current rate is a bit high given these minor maintenance and cleaning needs.
