Gîte Prats de Sournia Balcon du Fenouillèdes

Gîte de la Gaouna is a communal gite.
The cottage is a small completely independent village house, located in one of the pedestrian streets at the top of the village.
It consists of 3 rooms including 2 bedrooms, and it is ideal for 4 people.
A small, well-shaded outdoor terrace is equipped with garden furniture.
Prats de Sournia is a picturesque village in the Pyrenees Orientales.
Its charm, its welcome and its splendid panorama will not leave you indifferent. Nicknamed "Le Balcon du Fenouillèdes", perched at an altitude of 640m, you can admire a superb view of the Corbières, the Gulf of Lion and the Canigou.
Most of the streets are pedestrian but parking lots on the outskirts of the village allow you to park without problems
car access is nevertheless possible near the cottage to load and unload
All the lanes which go up will lead you to the signal tower of XIème which dominates the village.
The village is characterized by stepped streets which serve several small plots.
Whether you stay in Prats, or simply stroll through its alleys, the locals will give you the warmest welcome.
Prats is equipped with a municipal swimming pool open in summer: this will allow you to take advantage of a supervised swimming away from the hustle and bustle of the coast.

Un week-end loin de tout, dans un cadre exceptionnel au milieu des Pyrénées Orientales. Superbe endroit pour faire du vélo. Le gite est conforme à l'annonce et est très bien fourni. Thérèse, l'hôte, est très disponible et accueillante malgré notre heure d'arrivée tardive. Il y a beaucoup de place et même un sous sol pour mettre des vélos. Il faut néanmoins avoir une voiture pour venir jusque dans ce petit village, calme, avec une magnifique vue. Un week end reposant, quel bonheur. Merci beaucoup !

Tres bon accueil dans ce gite que cela soit par l'hôte Thérèse ou par tous les habitants de ce petit village. En plus il y avait la fete au village dans nos dates ce qui a rajouté une bonne ambiance. Beaucoup d'activités a faire (chateaux cathares, grottes, gorges, proximité avec la mer et l'Espagne) mais il ne faut pas avoir peur des kilometres sur route de montagne. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

Le logement est très bien pour une famille avec 2 enfants en bas age (2 et 7 ans), la vue sur les montagnes est très dépaysant. Le centre est sans voiture donc très silencieux. Merci a Thérèse pour son accueil très sympathique.

Je remercie Thérèse pour son accueil, son mari pour la visite de son atelier, les résidents du village pour leur accueil !!! Nous avons passé une super semaine, gite agréable, esplanade de jeu pour notre fille, visite du village et de leur tour de guet à ne pas rater !!! Le jour de notre arrivée nous avons assister à un super son et lumière ! Nous recommandons ce village pour son calme, mais également pour sa situation ! Et encore merci au villageois de Prats de Sournia pour leur accueil et leur partage !!!! Cathy, Laurent, Abigaelle et Arthur !

La location est très bien entretenue, joliment décorée. La gestionnaire a fait le maximum pour un séjour agréable. On a beaucoup apprécié le logement ainsi que le village et l'esprit communautaire des habitants. Cerise sur le gâteau : le logement est situé face au Mont Canigou.
