I cannot say enough positive things about this location and the host! It has amazing views, the breakfast was wonderful, and Fatima and her staff are simply outstanding! The rooms have a great view, and they are big with a comfortable bed. When we go back to the Azores we will definitely be staying here again!

Lovely stay!

I had a lovely stay at Casa da Cisaltina. Fatima, the owner, made me feel right at home and was very helpful with information about things to do in the area and suggestions! The breakfast was delicious and included her homemade jams. There is a wonderful view out the backyard of the northside of the caldera. Added bonus is the parking on site - a car is definitely necessary in the Povocao area and eastern side of the island.

Lovely setting and beautiful house

Beautiful house set in a small town. Very gracious hosts provide a beautiful local breakfast. Close to main square able to cook a meal a little trouble finding it but helpful locals pointed us in the right direction.

The place is extremely quiet and the view from my room was beautiful (view on the mountain and on the house's garden). Fatima and her colleagues were so welcoming. The breakfast is so varied (local cheese, ham, fruit and bread, beautiful jams). Perfect for a quiet stay and if you want to enjoy this part of São Miguel. Fatima gave me excellent advice about the area.
