This is the perfect location on the beach. Our room had a sea view and we loved watching the boats. The staff were amazing. They checked in everyday to see if we needed anything. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

Pleasantly surprised! This was our second time in Positano. Our last hotel in Positano was beautiful but not close to the beach. La Caravella has the best location. Reading all the reviews was helpful as far as check in. Let’s just say the check in was like in the laundry room.! The lady Rosa did not speak English. However, rooms were very spacious, clean, beds a bit firm but the location right on the water was great. It’s not the St.Regis it’s more old school rustic. Our driver dropped us off at the top and had luggage porter deliver to our room.They charge $10 per bag but well worth it. This place is great for families.I would definitely book again.

We were pleasantly surprised with this location especially given the terrible reviews that it has. I can’t speak for the other rooms but we booked a “double partial sea view” and it was great! Room was decently clean, amazing location, and bed was comfy! Check in was a little confusing but if you call when you get there, they will send Rosa to get you in. And yes, like some other reviews say, she does take you to the downstairs closet looking room but if you’re nice to her, she’ll be nice to you! Overall very happy with our stay!

Quaint, cutely decorated casita type hotel with nice patio, living room, kitchenette, bed and bath right on the beach. Unfortunately, the beach bar next door plays loud music nightly until midnight. Hotel did not include kitchen towels, soap, sponge, paper towels or wine glasses. For the nightly price, those items need to be included. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, which was four nights.

Great location right close to the action and the beach and with no stairs required unless you choose to go up. Go to a grocery store and get snacks and wine and enjoy the lounge chairs without the fee they charge at the beach and the same view. Check-in was a little bit confusing but turned out okay. There is no reception desk and you have to look for Rosa by either finding her in one of the rooms are going in the side entrance and going down to the bottom where the laundry room is. She's very nice!

In the heart of Positano with great views

It was in the heart of Positano and easy access to everything with a private little beach. Few stairs to climb but always more if you want to explore more. Lovely and great coffee shops, restaurants, shops around.

Rosa doesn’t speak any English , but she was a humorous individual. Room was different from what was booked, furniture was poorly looking and air conditioning was broken . Overall the only decent thing about this place was the direct access to beach .
