Why not enjoy a day trip to the Isle fo Wight by jumping on the Hovercraft (2min drive or 20min walk) which only takes 10minutes to get to Ryde's Sandy beautiful Sandy beaches.
Fancy something more sporty? you can play tennis at two different clubs both 20minutes walk away.
Take the kids on the rides on either the South Parade or Clarence Piers. The beach close to the pier is sandy at the lower tides which the kids will love.
The local common only 5 mins walk is great for a barbecue lunch or just enjoy the beautiful gardens right outside the apartment for a picnic or the ‘rock gardens’ for a peaceful stroll among exotic plants.
If you fancy eating out, walk over to the restaurant right opposite the apartment - ‘the briny’ - great seafood here or the Italian pizza restaurant 2 mins walk away.
Canoe lake is only 20mins walk away where there is plenty for the kids to enjoy. If it's raining there are two smart TVs in the apartment or for the kids there is an indoor kids softplay and bounce centre 1minute walk away called Exploria. The new technological interactive Dday museum is also only 5 minutes walk away. Dday There is a local Coop opposite the pier (only 5 minute walk).
If you want a long leisurely walk you can walk all the way to the Shops at Gun Wharf by following the seafront to the West. walking East and you will also get a nice long walk on the seafront where there is a large cafe on the seafront front with a kids play area. Further East you can get a short boat and have a day trip over to Hayling Island.
There are quite alot of stairs so this apartment may not suit someone who has mobility issues.
