OPorto Cheers Gaia - Next to Train Station and Free Street Parking - 1st Floor

Situated in the historic center of Gaia, the "Oporto Cheers Gaia" apartment has 60 square meters, a spacious bedroom of 20 square meters, a Queen Size bed with two large antique-style windows, double glazing, followed by a living room with sofa -bed where you can rest and relax, in front of a cable TV, and also where two light people can sleep.

Free Wi-Fi is available. Heating during winter - and ventilation during summer. Guests can access, with complete autonomy, all parts of the apartment space. The apartment also offers guests a lawned garden, where you can rest and relax, or have meals at any time of the day. The gardens, on 3 terraces, are shared between 2 other apartments in the same building (also rented to tourists from all over the world). Access to the apartment is via a staircase (1st floor, 18 steps). Guests can access, with complete autonomy, all parts of the apartment space.

You will have access to our blog and our online guide to make the most of your visit to our city without having to do a lot of research beforehand.

Included in the price are sheets and bath towels, kitchen utensils and cleaning at the end of the stay. Wireless Internet is also included. The cot has an additional price of €8 per night if required.

From the train station, a 1-minute walk away, you can easily and quickly visit the famous beaches of the Silver Coast: Cabedelo (3 km), Valadares, Madalena, Francelos (5 km), Miramar (6 km), Aguda (7 kms), Granja (8 kms), Espinho (9 kms), Aveiro (50 kms) and Figueira da Foz (100 kms), Nazaré and Peniche. From here you can also take the ALFA PENDULAR fast train to Lisbon, a journey of less than two and a half hours.

You can buy a low cost ANDANTE ticket for 3, 7 or 10 days, and during these days, come and go, wherever you want and by train or metro, at no additional cost. Here you can visit important and beautiful cities in the north of Portugal: Viana, Braga, Guimarães, Póvoa, Lamego, Régua, Côa, Viseu, Guarda, Aveiro, Coimbra and Fátima.

From the airport you can take the metro (line E - blue) to Trindade and change to line D (yellow) to Gaia. Then leave there and next to Gaia City Hall, continue along Rua Conselheiro Veloso da Cruz on foot to the building with number 90. There is free parking in the nearby streets, 80 meters from the building on Rua Alexandre Braga.

There is the "Devesas" bus stop 160 meters away on the way to the supermarket. Here you can take the 904 to Trindade (historic center of Porto). Another 430 meters away is the "Arco do Prado" bus stop (near the Pingo doce supermarket) where you can catch the 903 to "Casa da Música" in the center of Porto.

The location of “Oporto Cheers Gaia” has the advantage of being strategic for those who want to avoid traffic and noise from the city's well-known streets.

Below the accommodation, there is a small pizzeria (very good) which can be a useful resource for when you don't feel like cooking during your vacation, so you can eat there, or take the food back to the apartment. 80 meters away you will find a restaurant serving typical Portuguese food that we fully recommend.

Further down, 500 meters from the building, there is a “Pingo Doce” supermarket that sells all food and drinks as well as any other material you need in your daily life for your comfort and hygiene.

The wine is called “Port wine”, but all the Port wine cellars are in Gaia. And you'll be able to walk there because most of them are less than half a mile away.

If you bring a pet, please add it to the reservation because there is a fee for pets (and a maximum of one pet per booking)

Sometimes we will be at the "Oporto Cheers Gaia" apartment upon your arrival to welcome you and provide you with the keys to the apartment and all the information you need for a perfect stay, including good tips on what to visit. Sometimes, if you arrive late in the day or on some special days, you may have to do a self check-in. In this case, we will send you all access details to the building and apartment. Great quiet place to stay. Easy to explore Porto and Gaia.

This was a nice apartment for my family. We had a big bed and a couch that made into bed that was perfect for my kids. It was really clean. An easy walk to visit Gaia and Porto. Close to a nice church for Mass in Gaia. The best part was the family that runs the restaurant downstairs. Great food, inexpensive, and they showed us around. Very special people! We never met Armondo because we took longer to get from the airport via the metro than expected, though he patiently waited 30 minutes for us. He just left the key with Daniel in the restaurant. Taking the metro from the airport is easy and takes about 40 minutes, we took longer bc my son was sick and we got delayed. :) Highly recommend!

Bien mais sans plus.

Je vais commencer par les points négatifs et je finirais par le positifs : Le frigo est plutôt petit pour une famille de 4 et a deux rangements de porte inutilisables. ( 1 manquant et 1 cassé ) , le propriétaire est prévenu. Selon nous, un peu plus de vaisselle serait appréciable. Peu de bols ( 3 ) et peu d’ustensiles ( égouttoir minuscule, pas d’economes, aucun couteau coupant réellement ) De plus, à notre arrivée, les casseroles et poêles étaient toutes grasses, nous avons dû relaver tout pour pouvoir cuisiner. L’eclairage de la salle de bain est un peu faible. Il serait simple pourtant de mettre des ampoules un peu plus puissante. Nous avons eu des remontés d’odeurs d’egout dans le couloir d’acces à l’appartement. Nous y étions pendant la canicule donc je n’en sait pas si c’etait pour cette raison ( mais c’est celle qu’a avancé le propriétaire). Les jardin que l’on voit sur les photo n’est en fait pas un jardin mais 3 jardins accolé. Oubliez donc l’intimité si vous désirez y manger ou bronzer. De plus le jardin n’est pas accolé à l’appartement et il faudra gravir les 31 marches du couloir pour y accéder. Et les jardins sont à 4 mètres de la baie vitrée de l’appartement du haut. Autre gêne, il y a une entreprise de menuiserie jusque à côté et on entent légèrement la clouteuse pneumatique de temps en temps. Mise à part tout ça l’appartement est correct, la pièce de vie est peu lumineuse mais la chambre l’est de manière agréable avec deux fenêtres donnant sur une rue moyennement fréquenté. On y dort très bien, et la nuit est très calme dans ce quartier. L’appartement est très proche de la gare et de l’acces aux voies rapides. On descend très vite sur le bord du Douro pour s’y promener. Je conseillerais donc grandement cette appartement pour un couple sans enfants. Informations importantes : utiliser les deux rues perpendiculaires à la rue de l’appartement pour vous garer sinon le stationnement est payant.

Nettes Appartment und sehr netter Kontakt.

Für das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis kann man sich echt nicht beschweren. Sehr schönes Appartment in Vila Nova de Gaia. Der Vermieter sprich Englisch und Französisch und ist eigentlich immer erreichbar. Die Ausstattung war gut und sauber. Durch die Hügellage Portos würde ich Wanderschuh empfehlen. Aber man ist in 10min am Duoro.

Une belle location mais qui souffre de son environnement proche

La petite location (1 chambre parentale, 1 sdb, l'entrée cuisine+salon) a un bon potentiel. Elle est située près de Porto et de la plage en voiture ce qui permet de se balader facilement. La propreté n'est pas à remettre en cause et les draps sont changés toutes les semaines. D'où les deux étoiles. Mais beaucoup de points noirs viennent ternir les vacances que nous avons passées dans cet appartement. A notre arrivée, un bruit intense venant de l'usine située juste à la gauche de l'appartement se faisait entendre. Ces bruits de marteau-piqueur, de marteau, et à plus faible mesure de sciage, faisaient vibrer les murs de 7 heures du matin à 19 heures au soir : pas une seule grâce matinée ni de sieste. De plus, une ligne de bus passe juste en-dessous et toutes les heures au moins (même la nuit) se fait entendre leur moteur très bruyant. Nous dormions donc avec les fenêtres de devant fermées. Ceci est très gênant car contrairement à ce qui est écrit, la location ne dispose pas de climatisation / air conditionné. Les nuits ne sont pas agréables avec un unique ventilateur comme expédient pendant une période caniculaire. Sans trop s'attarder sur le matelas du clic-clac un peu trop dur ou sur le manque de certains ustensiles de cuisine (râpe à fromage, une deuxième casserole par exemple), la location a un potentiel certain. Peut-être en améliorant l'isolation (pas seulement en se contentant d'un double vitrage mais d'un triple au moins et en améliorant le revêtement des murs) et surtout en installant la climatisation, la location serait plus agréable à vivre. Je ne recommande pas cette location pour y passer des vacances dans un minimum de calme.

Alojamiento a buen precio para visitar Oporto

Excelente apartamento. Ha respondido a nuestras expectativas y a la descripción que se hace de él. Excelente trato por parte del propietario que intenta cuidar al máximo los detalles (limpieza, flores naturales, abundancia de toallas...). El apartamento está algo alejado del centro de Oporto pero está a 100 metros de la estación de Deveses desde donde salen trenes cada media hora.
