Manor House Porto Duplex Apartment with a shared garden

The Manor House Porto is a XVII century listed building placed in the oldest part of Porto in the heart of the historical center that has just been classified as world heritage. Belonging to my family since the nineteenth century it has just been recently restored. Placed in a strategic position it has great views over the river Douro, it only takes 5 minutes walking to down town or in direction to the river front, which is a magic place were still possible to feel the mood of a romantic XIX century sea The street was the house is located, one of the oldest streets in Porto, it is very quite with almost no traffic. Apartment with 100 m2, turned to south, with 2 large windows overlooking the river and access to a shared garden with table and chairs. It is the ideal place to feel this old town and at the same time to relax. You can walk to the wine cellars in about 15 minutes. You can park the car in the street, it is free of charge and safe. Beautiful property

The views from the windows and garden are stunning! Some of the best views on this side of the river. The bed was extremely comfortable, large shower, and everything you need for a longer stay. Already sending this place to friends for when they travel to Porto!

REALLY enjoyed our stay!

This is a wonderful property located in the heart of Porto with everything within walking distance. The property itself is very special. You feel like you are a part of history because of the building itself. Beautiful linens, comfortable furniture, full kitchen, clean with all of the conveniences that you need. And Alex, the host, was extremely helpful and kind. Spent many hours sitting on the front lawn with wine and cheese watching the world go by in the distance. Wonderful.

It was a lovely unique building and Alex was a very nice and helpful host. The location was incredible. There was unfortunately construction during the week from 8 to 5 beside us which we were warned about prior. There are also other tenants in the building so late night noise can be loud but Alex corrected the situation when asked. He was a great host and it was just such a unique spot. Porto is a fun city and we were there for a week. Despite noise I would recommend this place as you are in a city and noise is expected. It was a lot of fun.

Great view. Interesting property.

It’s an old manor that has been chopped up into suites. But it was very well done and tastefully decorated with old and new blending splendidly. Good bed, lots of water pressure. Very central to downtown tourist attractions. Right behind the cathedral. Amazing view of the bridge and port houses. Alex met us and the check in was smooth. He gave us a map and tips on where to eat and shop. There was no hot water in the kitchen which was a bit of a pain. It was two flights downstairs from the rest of the place which was great exercise but if mobility is an issue you may not like it. Well stocked with good pots and knives. Needed a cheese grater though. The kitchen led out onto a lovely patio. We could sit out there and watch the river roll by. The heater took pellets (provided) which you had to remember to refill. And it took some time to figure out how to adjust it all to a temperature we liked. Loved the space. Definitely nothing you would find in Canada - a real character property. One of the best we’ve stayed in and worth every dime.

Sehr charmantes Maisonette-Apartment in einem Altbau direkt an der Kathedrale; Terrasse mit einem grandiosen Blick auf den Douro und die Brücke. Alles in der Altstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar. Gute Anbindung an den Flughafen via Metro sowie an die Bahn und den Busbahnhof. Alex ist ein toller Gastgeber mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps.

Great stay in Porto!

Very nice apartment. Great historic feel to it with modern amenities. Convenient to everything. There are a lots steps down to the river but worth it. View is spectacular. Alex was great to deal with and very accommodating. He gave great tips for the area. A little tricky to find but that is part of the charm. Would definitely stay there again!

Schöne Stadt von idealer Unterkunft aus entdecken

Ein schönes altes Haus von 1697. stilvoll renoviert und in idealer Lage zur Entdeckung der Stadt. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Alexander, der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und angenehm. Zentraler und besser kann man in Porto nicht wohnen. Am Liebsten bliebe man die ganze Zeit auf der Terrasse.
