Magnificent Home on Banks of the Willamette River, Hot Tub, Fire-Pit, Cornhole, 9 Miles to Downtown

On the main level there are three beautifully appointed bedrooms all with king beds. The one furthest back is slightly larger and has an entire wall of windows with more unbelievable river views.

Descending downstairs, you'll find the lower-level lounge and media area. This cozy and quite room is where the group can sit back and relax while streaming your favorite shows. There are two additional spacious bedrooms with king beds on the lower level as well. They share the second full bathroom. You will also find the washer and dryer on this level if needed.

One of the most special parts of this home is the backyard oasis. A new hot tub has been installed allowing you to soak your troubles away while enjoying the sights and sounds of this riverside paradise. Whether you want a competitive game of cornhole or just to relax around the firepit, there is something for everyone. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We are excited for you to be one of our first guests at the River Forest Retreat.

We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.

PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel. Failure to adhere to the house rules as it pertains to pets may result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. **

  • The California Condor was a common sight along the Columbia River in Lewis and Clark's day. By the early 1980's, there were only twenty-two left on the face of the planet, all in California. Today, thanks to a massive effort to re-populate the species via in-captivity pairing, there are some two-hundred members. But their recovery is far from assured. The Oregon Zoo has undertaken its own recovery effort whose ultimate goal is the re-introduction of the species into the protected wilderness area around the Columbia River Gorge. In short, to bring them home. For now, they live out their days in a vast, outdoor aviary designed specifically to mimic their habitat in the wild. If you have never seen one up close before, I urge you to come take a look. They are larger than any flying bird you will ever see, unless you go to Peru. And though black and white practically from head to toe, their plumage shines and reflects the light like dark, polished metal. If that doesn't suit your fancy, I will tell you that, as with all big birds, if you wait around long enough, they will do something so awe-inspiring that it will take your breath away, and something so goofy that you will laugh out loud. Perfect Weekend

The accomodations were as described, more than we imagined actually, as we gathered to celebrate our friend. The weather was perfect, Mt Hood offered incredible views and the river is therapeutic.Great, prompt and accurate communication from our host.

Beautiful spot!

We came to Oregon for a wedding and decided to make a family reunion out of it. We had the most delightful time here. Incredible view of the river, comfortable king beds for everyone… I would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in beautiful location

This is a beautiful property with plenty of room for all. Both bathrooms and kitchen had been recently remodeled and all were beautiful. The location right on the river was just lovely.

Amazing Place

We loved staying here. The views of the River were incredible. All the king size beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub, the access to the river, and being able to sit outside at the table and fire pit to enjoy the incredible Oregon weather. Highly recommend this place.

Great view, comfy beds!

The view is beautiful! It's so relaxing to wake up and have a cup of coffee while taking in the river! The neighborhood was pretty and quiet. The dogs enjoyed morning and evening walks with lots to sniff!Our multigenerational family had a great visit and explored Portland and the area and got to come home to a comfy beautiful house!At night, the mattresses were super comfortable and everyone ages 11 to 72 had only good things to say about their sleep!

Great house with an incredible view

The house was really comfortable with a spacious great room and an awesome view. The furniture wasn't cheap particleboard either. Always appreciated!It does need an electric kettle and a broom handy.We had a wonderful retreat weekend together. Thank you!

Idyllic home on the river

I wish I could retire here and sit in the chairs in front of the windows to watch the bald eagles, birds and geese all day! Beautiful home with comfortable spaces for our whole family to enjoy my husband's birthday.

Family Meeting Place

The house was beautiful and the backyard was amazing. The neighborhood was quaint and the trees were so pretty. The hot tub was great! The downstairs space accommodated hangouts of 10 people! Perfect for game nights! Close to airport and to downtown but away enough to not be in the hustle and bustle!

River Forest Retreat

Beautiful place with wonderful views throughout the day. We really enjoyed our stay. The home was equipped with everything we needed, from the kitchen items, bathroom, washroom. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking.

Amazing setting & a great kitchen

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were a couple of small things we needed and the property manager was immediately responsive, even on Sunday evening. The view is spectacular and the kitchen was well equipped with a very nice gas stove and the knives were sharp, which is a first ever for a vacation rental for me!

We had an amazing stay – I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for my daughter’s graduation weekend. The layout of the home was ideal: the main bedrooms were nicely separated from the patio and basement areas, so those who stayed up late didn’t disturb anyone needing rest. I was also impressed by how well-stocked the kitchen was – every cabinet had thoughtful extras, and we had everything we needed and more! We also appreciated the abundance of fresh towels, which came in handy with a full house and a busy weekend. It was a big milestone weekend — we even met the boyfriend’s family — and this home made it all feel comfortable, relaxed, and memorable. Surprise visit

Our stay was amazing. The location is great and our view was beautiful. One of the reasons we picked this house is the king sized beds in all the rooms. Extra family room downstairs was perfect for games or “quiet” time. Spacious, but cozy house. LOVED IT!

Wonderful weekend

We stayed here for three days for a family wedding. The house was perfect for us, clean and easily fit our group of 8. The backyard looking over the willamette river was Beautiful. Check in and out was very easy. We’ll probably stay here again when we come back to Portland!

Family Holiday Gathering

Our family gathered at the house for an early Christmas get together. The house is lovely with serene views. Plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen is fantastic with a chef grade stove. The bathrooms are spacious and modern. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. The location is easy to get to attractions in Portland yet tucked away ain a quiet neighborhood.We will definitely stay here again.Donna Everyone enjoyed the hot tub.

Unexpected Serenity

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The view of the river greeted us as we walked through the doors and we watched the river flow throughout our rainy stay. There were plenty of bedrooms and sleeping options including the finished basement which felt comfy and cozy for the young adults in our group. An added bit of charm were the three gas fireplaces, including one in the dining/kitchen area. The travel into the city from this location was doable and we ran into minimal traffic.Thank you for a great weekend.

Lovely Home Stay

We enjoyed our stay here. Lovely home, good location, the bedrooms were nice and comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, furnishing was cute, comfortable and stylish, two nice big tvs upstairs and down, and the view was spectacular! Overall great stay. Missing was the corn hole game. Saw the bags, not the boards. Overall nice stay and would rent again.
