Fantastic hotel right in the centre of Portalegre. The staff were very helpful, the room was great and the breakfast was excellent. The neighbourhood is quaint with lovely old cobbled streets with good shops, interesting buildings and good restaurants. Easy access to the local national park.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the hotel in December 2024. The room was spacious and comfortable, with excellent Wi-Fi connections. We appreciated the coffee/tea station in the room. A wonderful full breakfast with many options was included in the price. Would recommend this hotel to travelers in Alegré.

We booked a place to stay that it was horrible! Then, we were lucky to find this hotel, Jose Régio in Portalegre. A great place to stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful (we got a flat tire and do not speak Portuguese!) The place is very clean and comfortable.

Practical hotel in the centre of Portalegre. Overall the hotel feels a bit dated but generally clean. Breakfast was ok but not a single lactose or gluten free option (at least we couldn’t find it and there was no staff on sight)

Accès difficile mais prestations correctes

Bonjour, accès difficile, stationnement compliqué,quand il n'y a pas de place devant (aide de la réceptionniste) Vue inexistante, batiment en face à 2 mètres. Pour une première fois, laisse un mauvais souvenir qui ne donne pas envie de revenir !! Petit-déj sympa copieux, et accueil chaleureux par une Dame très sympathique et professionnelle.
