"Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good parking. Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station where you can take the cable car up to the old city. Best if you have a car since there is free parking below the train station and you’ll need to take the cable car into the old city. Breakfast is fair and available daily. Sound travels from the hallway as well as the street below, esp if you have your window open. AC is in the room but seemed to be hard to modify and the room stayed warm....

"We stayed one night at Hotel Posta and had a lovely experience. The rooms are well-kept and clean, the breakfast was tasty, and the location is right in the heart of everything we wanted to see in town. The staff in particular were above and beyond wonderful. They took great care of us, gave us dining recommendations, and let us store our bags in the lobby (supervised) for a few hours as we explored Orvieto."

"First, it’s misnamed because you get the bed but not the breakfast. But it is a lovely property within walking distance to everything, right in the heart of the old town. I’m not sure how many units there are but we got the one with a large table which extends to a kitchen with a small couch in it. You’ll also see a black very winding staircase which leads to the bed. I just want to warn anyone that has issues with stairs, they are not easy to navigate. So before you book, make sure you ask about units without stairs. This unit is also in front so when glass recycling day comes you’ll awake to that noise. But it happens at about 7am so no big deal. Francesca is a wonderful host and speaks English. She’s very friendly and wants you to be comfortable. There is a kitchen but you can only use it to make tea or coffee. No cooking, but there is a small fridge which helped immensely to store cold drinks, etc.. I would recommend putting some dish towels to dry coffee cups or glasses used. We arrived by train, the station is a little more than a mile away. We then took two buses (you must change bus) to get to the Center. There are not that many taxi’s around to take you there and back so I HIGHLY recommend you set up a Taxi for services to town AND back when leaving to the train station, if possible. Do not wait until the day of. Get it booked BEFORE."

"What a beautiful property! I especially loved the history of it, so unique. Our host, Leonardo, answered my messages promptly and did everything possible to make our stay a wonderful one. When we arrived we had trouble getting a taxi so he very happily offered to pick us up at the train station and take us up to the property. He was more than helpful, and an extremely pleasant man. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. If I had one negative thing to say it’s that our stay wasn’t long enough. Orvieto is a wonderful town with lots of things to do and see, and an abundance of great restaurants. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. I would love to return one day. Thank you so much Leonardo for making our stay so enjoyable."
