Overall Fantastic Find

We loved the layout of the home, master bedroom shower was beautiful. Having three bathrooms was fantastic. Pool being right off the porch was an added bonus. A few minor inconveniences such as the tub plug not working. Overall a great place to stay and greatly enjoyed.

Overall a wonderful place to stay. Minor cleanliness issues, and the tub plug would not hold water. Great WIFI, beautiful home, and super convenient with the pool right outside the door. Despite minor inconveniences would highly recommend.

Clean, Convenient, Great Stay!

This home was the perfect getaway. It was spotless and in a great location. It only took a few minutes to get to a beach access and under ten to reach downtown. I loved being in a gated community because it felt very safe. We can’t wait to go back!

Spacious and comfy rental

This home was incredibly clean, very well maintained, and super roomy. We enjoyed being here for 5 days during spring break. We loved having the pool right outside our door. I was surprised at how spacious it was and looked exactly like the photos. The screened in porches with ceiling fans are so nice to relax on. We would book this rental again anytime!

Charming

I loved the feel of the cottage, felt right at home! All of the necessities were available. We loved being right at the pool for convenience. I was a little worried it may be noisy, but even when several people were there it was not overwhelming.

Everything was great. Except was told to be sure to use the parking passes There were none at the property. I was worried my car would get towed.Kind off a hassle getting that problem solved

Vacasa Let Down

Nice place. No internet. Communicated with Vacasa upon arrival on a Tuesday that the internet was not working. It was still not working the next Monday when we left. No internet, no TV. Cell reception is horrible. Vacasa might be good elsewhere, but the local representation was not around much.

Love House.. But

The house is so nice. Clean except the floor had sand on it. The WI-FI didn’t work the whole time we were there. We even waited on technician to come out. He even told us that has been an on going issue since end of last year. The tv’s upstairs only work they streaming. Can’t stream with no internet. Dealt with this our entire visit. We were there for 4 days. Tracy on site manager did all she could to help. So if you are going here to vacation an work a little. Want be able to. Will not go back.

Home is a 5 star, help when needed is a -5

This is our 2nd time staying in this same house, which is beautiful and cozy, no issues at all except the smaller bed which squeaks every time you breathe and feels like it is bowed in the center fixing to fold you up like a burrito. However the customer service needs work, the door code we received stopped working after 2 or 3 days. I called Vacasa to report it and was told it was user error. I sent video of 3 people trying the code only to get a video back of a staff member trying out a test code( different code) which worked. When I responded that he was using a different code than what we received he stated he has a testing code when testing door locks and couldn’t use our code. I let him know my code still didn’t work only to get a response of well if mine worked then yours should too, they never tried the code I was given. I went back on his video and wrote down the code he used to get into the house which worked flawlessly. Upon checking out at the end of our week long stay our code still didn’t work! Beautiful home but customer service needs a lot of work!

Honest review of pos and neg feedback

Negatives: Dishwasher is hard to turn on because the buttons are under the countertop. Pool closes at dusk, that’s a little too early. Bedroom with the smaller bed is very uncomfortable and the bed squeaks terribly like you move and you’re awoken by the loud noise. Master bedroom is much hotter than the rest of the house so you basically have to freeze everyone else to have that room even cooled off. The hot tub jets don’t work… Positives: location is in a gated community. House itself is nice, we enjoyed the outdoor seating.

Great place

Barefoot Cottages is great as always if you’re looking for a quick and easy trip. This property was great for our family. Very clean and nice. Only issue was with the code on the front door not working, but they were quick to work on it and help us out. I will say though it is stressful to arrive with road weary family and not be able to get inside easily. I’ll also say the pool was nice but very warm. We don’t come for the pool, but we didn’t get in it as much due to that. It’s Florida in summer, so the pools are going to be warm. I did like how this unit is right beside the parking lot and gate to the pool.

Nice place to stay with pool out front

Liked showers; kitchen ok. Location close to Mexico Beach. Close to one of the few beaches you can take a dog.. in Port St Joe. Screened porch is nice in the mornings.

Perfect poolside and coastal cottage!

We loved that this cottage is barefoot steps away from a spacious pool! Inside, we found ourselves cozy and at home right away! The couch with lounge and blue recliner were comfortable, and the lightly-colored kitchen gave such an open, inviting space. The beds were comfy, the cottage was clean, and all appliances worked well. The washer and dryer came in quite handy! Additionally, this cottage is close to the parking lot, which is ideal. The cottage community is so friendly, but not loud. We highly recommend this community and would rent this exact cottage again! PS—Great location for visiting tons of beaches—3 minutes to PSJ, 14 minutes to Mexico Beach, 20 minutes to Cape San Blas, and an hour to St George Island. We did them all and loved coming home to our cottage.

Love the cottages but needs upgrade

When we walked in there was an overwhelming smell of mold. There was a water line across the ceiling that could be where the mold is. The king bed was awesome, really good mattress. When we arrived the headboard in the 2nd bedroom was completely leaned over, all the way over bed. We propped it up but it needs help. The sofa/kitchen were great. There are only 3 chairs on porch and no table to put your coffee. Besides the odor it was very clean and we will stay again, just in another cottage. The pool and quick drive to shops and restaurants was perfect.
