Only stayed for 1 night, will definitely stay again if coming back to Port Macquarie. The peacefulness and the quietness was so relaxing. Was clean and tidy. Staff were very accommmodating.

The property is dated with stained carpets and old furniture. The restaurant however served an excellent breakfast with great variety. When we arrived the front doors were locked and no one answered the number left to call. Fortunately a guest sitting in the lobby let us in and a staff member came back to the hotel within 10 minutes to give us our room keys.

Room did not look like the picture booked online. View was the roof and it had a horrible old musty smell - my son’s dust allergies were playing up whilst we were there. Little blue tiles in the pool were missing and kids playing with them as they were coming loose and floating around. Was looking forward to breakfast downstairs but the fire alarm went off as someone burnt toast in the restaurant so we missed out.

Worst motel room we have ever stayed in for over 30 years. Never ever stay here again. Room outdated, dirty, noisy, falling apart, plumbing in bathroom noisy and unsafe when turning on hot water. Pillows and bedspread stained. Bedside table not wiped and had who knows what splattered all over it. Shower curtain stained. Tiles cracked and unsafe. Neighbours children able to knock on door adjoining room? Bed base and mattress old and uncomfortable.

Absolutely beautiful stay! Family friendly, beautiful location. Rooms and amenities were brand new and well looked after. Loved having our own private outdoor area with amazing views all around

Homeward bound
Great location near the water within walking distance of restaurants, walking path etc. Stopover on our way home from Christmas holidays. Restaurant/bar on site. Outdoor sitting areas with views. Only criticisms (small) are lack of Hot/cold tap coding in renovated bathroom and we had no tissues, otherwise all good for what we needed.

We paid for a room with 1x King and 1x Queen bed for our family of 2 adults & 3 small children, however upon check-in we quickly realised we'd been given the incorrect room (1x Queen 1x single bed). I addressed the issue with the woman at front desk and she very abrubtly said it was not their fault, the room we paid for doesn't exist and we had to take it up with lastminute.com. No sincere apology and an offer to move an extra single bed up to the room was the only option they could provide. Absolutely appalled at the level of attitude this woman gave me, considering we had done nothing wrong and had only spent money on a room that was advertised as available! The hotel reservation paper even stated the type of room we had booked/paid for (they would have seen this before allocating us a room) and they sent us up to a room they were well aware was not what we had paid for anyway. The woman stated it was a common issue they were having, however had this been the case, an immediate apology explaining this would have been much better recieved, rather than telling me "we don't have that room, it's not our fault you were sold an unavailable room, take it up with whoever you booked with". Will never stay or recommend this place to anyone. The roll-out bed they provided was like sleeping on a hard floor and the room provides no noise privacy from neighbouring rooms or hallway. Worst experience as a travelling parent with children in tow - the most horrendous customer service

We booked for NYE so of course the price was higher as we expected, and my first phone interaction with Sue was lovely but sadly when we arrived it was disheartening, loads of house keeping washing piled in the hallway, stained and damaged carpet in the hallway and dated common area, the room was clean modern, neat and tidy but the walls paper thin and could hear all the rooms around us When leaving the room the door had to be closed by hand a tad unsafe as all doors to out side open and passing foot traffic can enter the premises worst part was opening the sliding door onto balcony not only ours but we could hear when the neighbours opened theirs (the true loud noise of nails down a chalkboard) so sad that even after another name change it has not improved.

This property is horribly run down. I booked a queen/king room with a river view- didn't get a viewand was told they don't have a room of that sort and was given a twin and queen. The sliding door barely moved and didn't seal tight when closed. The bathroom was in disrepair with broken tile and a shower that trickled out water that was impossible to get to a temperature that wasn't either scalding hot or frigid. The location was okay but yet although "on the water" it was not water you could access to enter to swim. Very disappointing overall.
