"Breathtaking setting and ample, free onsite parking. Outside chairs to sit and admire the sublime lakeshore view with provided breakfast pastry and coffee.
Our room (Heathcote, Rm 6) was necessarily small and very cozy with a well-appointed private but across the hall bathroom and good shower. Staff contact was entirely online but all questions answered.

"The property exceeded our expectations. Everything was so well thought out. We had everything there we needed. The deck and the outdoor grill and seating area was fantastic. And the view was remarkable. "

"I can’t say enough great things about this place. My fiancé and I stayed with our two dogs over the long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. From the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, to the fenced in yard for our boys to roam about, to the warmth and beauty of the cottage and proximity to local attractions, the ferry, the lake, etc. We had the opportunity to meet Dale and have a quick word, and the care they show for both the cottage and their guests is appreciated. We’ll be back!!"
Architects Dream Home Overlooking Picturesque Lake Champlain
10/10 Excellent
"The house was clean and organized, well equipped. Excellent view of the lake. The deck could have been swept. It was full of acorns. I almost fell. It looked like it has not been swept for weeks. During our entire stay, we swept it when we got there and before we left. The train passing by the back of the house was adorable the first night but it disturbed our sleep the next nights. The train was very loud late in the night and very early in the morning. This should be mentioned beforehand. Will definitely come back in the future."
"Our family of 12 (boomer siblings and their significant others) from across the country gathered to share a week together. This rustic camp provided a comfortable space with a fabulous beach setting. Bedrooms are small but comfortable, plenty of nooks and gathering spaces. . Surprisingly, the 1.5 bathrooms for 12 people was ok - the outdoor shower helped make it work. We will hope to return next year. It was a great experience for a family returning to their Vermont roots. VACASSA was responsive to my questions and contacts as we prepared for our camp time. Thank you!"
Lake house on the New York shores of Lake Champlain
8/10 Good
"We had a wonderful time in this house right on the lake. We loved the beach and the great boating and swimming dock. We borrowed kayaks and had some magical trips across Corlear Bay. We saw eagles and the views from the house and the water are spectacular!! Phil, our host, was very responsive when we asked any questions. The house is older and needs some things done, but, if you can handle a stiff patio door and a lttle peeling paint, it is a great family vacation place. We cooked full meals in the well stocked, modern kitchen."
