"This cute and cozy cottage is right on Lake Champlain and is absolutely breathtaking. From hearing the waves to the view its spectacular! I love that we were able to bring our two golden retrievers with us to enjoy our vacation together. Jon was extremely responsive to any questions or concers we had. The hot tub was so refreshing and relaxing at the same time and we miss it already. The bed were so comfortable I am thinking of replacing our mattress with one if Jon will give up the secret lol thank you so much Jon and family you are so welcoming."

"With a little more attention to some details this is a very cute place to stay for a week. It would be a five with a few fixes. We had to buy a light bulb for the only light near the laundry. Two bedroom ceiling fans don’t operate fully. On one the light and the fan both must be on or off. The pull chain controls are jammed. The main living room heater, which worked well for six nights stopped working our last night. Some of the pictures show different furnishings than what we found, including a queen bed instead of two twins in one of the bedrooms. The shower fixture that controls the water temp and flow has come loose and looks bent. The shower worked well otherwise. The rope light in the living room that is just mood lighting is 90% burned out. The living room furniture is clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. There are some exposed electrical wires and one outlet had no cover plate. That could be a shock hazard. The WiFi and cable box are plugged into a light duty dangling extension cord. There ought to be a multi-socket surge protector mounted to the wall that would solve that issue. These are mostly small things that didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of this property. Guests need to feel that the electrical is up to code. These seem to be easily fixed items. Hope this helps.Thank you for the stay."

It's just a short walk and the public launch is down the road but launching and loading every day is a drag. We would certainly rent again but would confirm ahead of time mooring for our boat."

"Our family of 4, 2 50-somethings and 2 20-somethings, really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely, with a beautiful, multi-level common area and a long view over the water. The bedrooms are nicely separated for a sense of personal space, the kitchen is very functional, the deck serene, and the pebbly beach and dock below great as well. The house was impeccably clean.The host was very responsive and helpful.There were trains, as some reviewers have noted, and they are very close to the house. None of them came too late in the day but there were typically 2-3 per day and the first one was sometime between 6:30 and 8:00 AM. It wasnt too disruptive for my family but we are a mix of early risers and people who have no trouble getting back to sleep.Unfortunately the hot tub wasnt working during our stay, because I think it would have been great on a cool night. There is tons of boating, kayaking and hiking in the area but limited groceries within 30 min and not much in the way of a poking around town unless you go all the way to Lake Placid or Burlington.All-in-all, a great stay and we really enjoyed the house.Its a great"
