PRIME LOCATION - NO CAR NEEDED. The Regal Port Douglas is located at the start of Mocrossan Street (main street). 200m walk to the world renowned four mile beach and surf club. Short walk to award-winning restaurants, cafes, bars, boutique shops and Sunday Markets. This Deluxe one bedroom apartment, features: Spa bath, private balcony, air-con, kitchenette, washing machine / dryer& double glassed doors ensure quiet, Underground free private parking and a heated swimming pool. BBQ area.

DEFINITELY DID NOT LIKE the unexpected 52 stairs from the garage to the unit on the 3rd (top) floor. The fact that there is no life in the building should be pointed out. I am on the wrong side of 75, and absolutely HATED the prospect of climbing those stairs!! The presentation of the unit was fine. Would make two suggestions. The first is important. There were no drawers for storing clothes from luggage - only hanging space in a wardrobe, with one high shelf storing bedding. Just one unit of drawers could easily be inserted within the wardrobe, and would be so much more convenient than still "living out of luggage". The second was minor. The water jug was too tall to fit in the fridge unless a shelf was removed. We removed a shelf. Last suggestion: When cleaning the unit - and it was spotless inside - the balcony should not be forgotten! The table needed to be wiped down to remove black residue before use, and our feet were black after coming back inside. We had to wash the floor down as well.
